In the name of God Amen The third day of March in the Second year of the Reigne of our Sovereigne Lord and Lady William and Mary by the Grace of God of England Scotland ffrance and Ireland King and Queen &c. Ann.. Dom 1689. I John Burwash of Bredgar in the county of Kent Butcher being weake of body but being sound and perfect in mind and memory doe make and ordaine this my last will and testament in manner and fforme following:

Imprimus I give and bequeath unto Thomas Burwash my eldest sonne one two and twenty shilling piece of gold
Item I give unto my granchild Elizabeth the daughter of Thomas Burwash one smal gold ring
Item I give unto my youngest sonne John Burwash one twenty shilling piece of gold
Item I give further unto my sonne John Burwash five pounds of lawfull English money to be paid unto him within one month after my wife Martha his mothers decease.

All the residue of my goods and chattells whatsoever my debts and funerall expenses discharged I doe .....(give) and bequeath unto my loving wife Martha and my Sonne Adam Burwash whome I doe hereby make and ordain sole Executor and Executrix of this my last will. In witness whereoff I have hereunto sett my hand and seal the day and year as first above written. John Burwash Published Sealed and Subscribed in the presence of John Oliver John Beale
