In the name of god amen
I William Car being very sike of body but In sound and disposing memory prayse be given to god for the same doe make this my Last will and Testament in manner and forme following
that is to say first and principally Resine my soule in to the mercifull hands of Almighty god being my creator asu[r]edly hoping through the mercies of my blessed Saviour to obtaine Remission of all my Sins and my body I comitt to the earth whence it was taken and decently buried by discretion of my Executorix herein after named
and as for my worldly goods And estate the lord hath lent me I dispuse theire of as follows

Inprimis I give unto my wife Mary Car all my goods and Chattles and debts and all my lands till my Sonn John Car coms to the age of one and twenty years
Then my lands to my Son John Car paying to my wife Mary Car the full sume of fiftine pounds a yeare per anum and soe for every yeare soe long as she shall live
but If It pleas god to take my son John Car out of this world before my loveing wife then all my Lands goods and Chatles to her and her heires Executors and asignes for ever soe desireing of her to bury me at her discresion and likewise to pay my debts

I doe make my Loveing wife Mary Car my whole and sole executrix this my last will and Testament revoking all other wills
where unto I have set my hand the 8 day of February 1692/3 William Car

probate granted 4th April 1694

An addition to the probate mentions Anna Minter, wife of Robert Minter, as guardian of the infants John and Mary Carr during their minority.
Mary Carr, wife of William, died in March 1694.
