IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN The 6TH day of September in the yere of our lord god 1549 and in third yere of Edward the sixth by the grace of god king of England France and Yreland defender of the faythe and in erthe Supreame hed of the church of England and also of Yreland / I Stephen Chapman of the town and lybertye of Favershame holle of mynd and of good rememberance lawde and praise be unto all myghtye god make and ordaigne this my present Testament in manner and forme followynge Fyrste I bequethe my Soule unto the allmyghtie god my [body] buryed in the Southe side of the church yarde of Faversham ther Item I bequethe unto the poor people at my day of buryenge in redye money 4 d

The Residue of all my moveable goods I give and bequethe to Benett my wiffe whom I make my execitrix of this my present testamente and last will shall without frawd or gylle perform and kepe this my present will under wryten any thinge to the coutrarye notwithstandynge

THYSE YS THE LAST WYLL of me the said Stephyne Chapman made the day and yere above wryten as concerninge my messuage or tenemente which I nowe dwell in set lyenge and beinge in Westestrete in the towne of said Faversham there with a barne and other ther appurtening which I late purchased of Nicholas Burwashe of the same towne as it appere by wrytinge thereof made

FYRSTE I will that Benet my wyffe shalhave my said Messuage or tenament with ther appurtening all the terme of her lyffe and after the dethe of the said Benette my wife I will that my said tenement or Messuage remaigne unto my Soane Robert Chapman to him and to the hayres of his bodye lawfullye begotten And if the said Robert dye without hayres of his body lawfully begotten then I wyll that the said messuage or tenement with ther appurtening remaigne unto Margarett Johane and Agnes my daughters evenly to be devyded and each one of them to be others hayres if it shold chance any of them to dye without hayres of their bodyes lawfully begotten that they

Item I will that Benett my wiff be my solle executrix of this my present Testament and last wyll
