Also I will that Johan my daughter shall have my horned heiffer and William my son my red cow
that George Cole gave him when he was a bullock.
Also I will unto James my son a weaner bullock.
Also I will to my three sons Thomas, John and Richard three ewe sheep of one year old.
Also I will that all my children's cattle shall be delivered to Thomas Chapman by my wife Johan at
Easter next. Also I will that my brother Thomas Chapman shall have that same eleven years that I
should have of my brother Philip in a parcel of his paying such duty as I should do by his will.
Also I will that Johan my wife shall be my sole executrix and minister of all the residue of my moveable
goods, cattle and leases before unbequeathed bringing up my children and hers.
Also I will that William Atwell and Robert Chapman shall have the oversight of my will and they to
have for their payment 8d.
This is the last will of me the said Richard Chapman made and declared the foresaid day and year and before the foresaid witnesses. First I will that James my son shall have all my lands and tenements called Strevence to him his heirs executors and assigns forever when he cometh to the age of 21, lying and being in the parish of Westerham yielding and paying unto Richard his brother out of the same tenement called Strevence four marks of good and lawful money of England when the same Richard cometh to the age of 21 years. And for lack of payment the said Richard shall stress and strain in and upon the same land and tenement called Strevence until he be fully paid of the same four marks and the residue thereof if any there happens to be.
Also I will that William my son shall have one parcel of my land called Redynes.....(similar terms).....in
Westerham ...... paying to Richard 20s (etc).
Also I will that Thomas my son shall have one parcel of my land called Sperhawke..... (similar terms).....in
Westerham.....paying to Richard 40s (etc).
Also I will that John my son shall have all my land to him and his heirs for ever lying and being in the
parish of Edenbridge when he comes to the age of 21 years yielding and paying to his brother Richard out of
the same parcel of land which sometime was Robert King's land when the same Richard cometh to the age
of 21 years. And for lack .....(etc).
Also I will that if Richard my son die and depart out of this world before he cometh to the age of 21 years
then I will that the money shall die in all his brothers' hands likewise.
Also I will that my brother Thomas Chapman shall have the setting and letting of all my land lying and being in the parishes of Westerham and Edenbridge until my sons come to the age of 21 years to the intent that the rent and farm thereof shall remain to pay my debts and to the behofe of my children, that is to say I will 5 marks of that same money to my daughter Johan to be paid to her by the hand of my brother Thomas when she cometh to the age of 15 years. And I will that the residue of the money shall remain among all my children evenly to be divided. Also I will that if Johan my daughter die and depart out of this world before she cometh to the age of 20 years and have no heirs of her body begotten then I will that her (share) of money shall remain among all her brothers evenly to be divided by the hand of my brother Thomas Chapman or his assigns.
