First I will and direct that all my just debts funeral and testamentary charges be fully paid and satisfied
And I will and direct that all such sum and sums of money book and other debts which shall be due and
owing to me at the time of my decease shall be due collected got in and received
together with all ready money as I may be possessed of at the time of my
decease shall from time to time be laid out and invested in the Public Stocks Funds or Securities of Great Britain
and I give and bequeath the Dividends Interest and Annual Produce of all such Stocks Funds or Securities in or upon which such monies shall be laid out and invested and also the Dividends Interest and Annual Produce of all such Stocks Funds or Securities as I may be possessed of or intitled unto at the time of my decease unto my dear Wife Jane Chase for and during the term of her natural life
And I also give and bequeath unto my said dear Wife the use and enjoyment of all my household Goods Furniture Plate Linen and China and all other my Estate and Effects for and during the term of her natural life
And I will and desire that a Schedule or Inventory thereof shall be made or taken as soon after my decease as may be
And after the death of my said dear Wife I will and direct that my said household Goods Furniture Plate
Linen and China shall be sold and disposed of an converted into money
And as to the money to arise by and from such Sale and also all and singular the Stocks
Funds or Securities which I might be possessed of at the time of my decease or
which shall be so purchased by the Monies so to be collected got in or received
as aforesaid and all other my Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever
situate lying and being after the death of my said dear Wife I will and direct shall
be divided into six equal or even portions or share
And as to one such part or share thereof I give and bequeath the same unto my Son Thomas Chase for his
own use and benefit
And as to one other sixth part or share thereof I give and bequeath the same unto my Daughter Maria Rabey Wife of John Rabey
for her own use and benefit
as to one other sixth part or share thereof I give and bequeath the same unto my Daughter Charlotte Payn Wife of Richard Thomas
Payn
And as to one other sixth part or share thereof I give and bequeath the same unto my Daughter Sarah Cunningham Wife of John
Cunningham
And as to one other sixth part or share thereof I give and bequeath the same unto my Daughter Harriet Jane Fry Wife of John Fry
my Partner
And as to remaining sixth part or share thereof I give and bequeath the two thirds parts thereof to my
Granddaughter Anna Jarvis Stidolph and the remaining third part thereof to my Grandson Edwin Byron Stidolph
And I nominate constitute and appoint my said dear Wife Jane Chase David Sims Esq of Eltham Surgeon and Mr John Mansell of the Bank of England Gentleman Executors of this my Will
And I do hereby revoke all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made and do declare this
only to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set
my hand and seal this twenty sixth day of September one thousand eight hundred and seventeen Thomas Chase
