In the name of God Amen the Thirteenth day of July in the Sixteenth yeare of the Raigne of our Soveraigne Lord Charles the Second by the grace of God King of England Scotland France and Ireland, Defender of the Faith etc. Anno dini 1664
I Henry Cheeseman of East Peckham in the Countie of Kent Yeoman being at this present of sound and p[er]fect minde and memory (praysed be God) but sicke and weake in body doe therfore make and ordayne this to be my Testament and last Will in manner and Forme followinge
First and principally I will and resigne my Soule into the hands and gratious acceptance of Allmighty God my maker hopeing and Stedfastly beleiveing to have the pardon and remission of all my Sinnes and eternall Salvation by the only meritts death and passion of his dearely beloved Sonne Jesus Christ my alone Saviour and Redeemer And my Body I committ to the Earth in decent manner to be buryed as my Executrix hereafter named Shall thinke fitt And as touchinge and concerneing that temporall Estate which God hath let mee here on Earth I order will give and dispose of the same in manner and Fourme followeing (that is to say)

I Will and give to my Fower sonnes John, Richard, William and Henry, the Summe of One hundred and Twenty pounds apiece of good and lawfull money of England to be payd unto every of them at their severall and respective ages of One and Twenty yeares by mine Executrix hereafter named
And I will mine Executrix shall educate and with convenient Foode Apparrell lodgeing wastinge and all other necessaries maynteine my said Fower sonnes John, Richard, William and Henry untill their said Severall Ages of One and Twenty yeares or untill they shall betake themselves to Service (not thereby lesseninge their portions) they doeing for mine Executrix reasonable Service accordinge to their Severall ages and abilities

And if any of my said Fower Sonnes shall happen to dye before his or their Said Age of one and Twenty yeares Then I will the legacy and legacies and portions of such soe dyeing shall belong and be payd equally to and amongst the Survivors of them that shall live to attain that Age or to the Survivor of them the whole at their of his said Age

Item whereas Mary my wyfe is now with Child I leave the whole care and charge of the education and bringing up thereof and of the rayseing and provideing of the same a portion unto the said Mary And for the same purpose and for and towards the rayseing and payment of my debts my legacies before bequeathed, my Funerall charges and the charges in probacon of this my Testament and last Will, I leave give and bequeath to the said Mary my deare and loveing wyfe all my Goods, household Stuff, ready money, debts, Cattle, corne and Chattles whatsoever

And I make and ordaine the said Mary my wife the full and sole Executrix of this my Testament and last Will
And I make ordaine nd entreate my loveing brother John Cheeseman and my good neighbor and Freind Thomas Hatch to be the Supervisors or Overseers of the my Testament and last Will desireing them to be healpefull and assistant to mine Executrix what they may in the due execution and p[er]formance of the Same and her useing and manureing? my Farme after my decease

In wittness whereof I the said Henry Cheeseman (revoakeing all former Wills by me made) have to this my Testament and last Will sett my hand and Seale the day and yeare first abovewritten
