This is the last Will & Testament of me John Cheesman of Bullen in the Parish of East Peckham in the County of Kent Yeoman made published & declared the nineteenth day of January in the Year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred & thirteen

I release & discharge my Son in Law Thomas Foster of Penshurst in the said County Yeoman of & from all such Sum & Sums of money as he may owe me at the time of my decease & I direct all Securities for the same to be delivered up to him within one Calendar Month next after my decease

Also I give and devise all that my Messuage Tenement or Cottage & the Garden Ground & Appurt[enance]s to the same belonging situate lying & being at or near Bullen aforesaid in the Parish of East Peckham aforesaid & in the tenure or occupation of William Singer unto my Dau[ghte]r Mary Cheesman during such time as she shall remain single & unmarried she keeping the same premises in good & tenantable repair
and from & immediately after he decease or marriage of my said Dau'r, which shall first happen I give & devise the said Messuage Tenement or Cottage & the Garden Ground & Premises with the Appurt's unto my Son John Cheesman his heirs & Assigns for ever

Also I give & bequeath to my said dau'r Mary Cheesman the Sum of Eight hundred pounds of lawful money of Great Britain to be paid at the time & in manner following (that is to say) one half part thereof at the end of twelve Calendar Months & the remainder thereof at the end of two Years respectively next ensuing the time of my decease

And I do hereby Charge & make liable my Messuage or Tenement, Buildings, Farm, Lands & Heredit[ament]s situate in East Peckham aforesaid purchased by me of Sir William Twysden Baronet containing about thirty acres & in the occupation of myself & the rights members & Appurt's thereof to & with the payment of the said Legacy or Sum of Eight hundred pounds
And subject thereto I do hereby give & devise the said Messuage or Tenement, Buildings, Farm, Lands & Heredit's called “Lands’s” with the Appurt's unto my said Son John Cheesman his Heirs & Assigns for ever

Also I give & devise & bequeath all & every the rest & residue of my Real & Personal Estates & every part thereof respectively unto my said Son John Cheesman his Heirs Ex[ecut]ors Adm[inistrat]ors & Assigns absolutely & for ever
And I do hereby make & ordain my said Son the full & sole Ex[ecut]or of this my last Will & Testament

In Witness whereof I the said John Cheesman the Testator have to this my last Will & Testament contained in two sheets of paper set my hand & Seal (that is to say) my hand to the first Sheet thereof & to this second & last Sheet my hand & Seal the day & year first above written

Proved at London 29th December 1815 before the Judge by the Oath of John Cheesman the Son the sole Ex'or to whom adm'on was granted being first sworn (by Com'on) duly to Adm'r.
