In the name of God Amen the tenthe day of February one thousand six hundred & nineteen [1619/20]
I Thomas Christian of the p[ar]ish of Goodnestone in the County of Kent Yeoman beinge sicke in body but of p[er]fect memorye for w[hi]ch I give my God thancks, doe make declare and ordeine this my last will and testament in manner and forme followinge
First I bequeath my soule into the hands of my mercifull God that gave it mee and my body to bee buried in the churchyarde of Goodnestone aforesaid

I doe make and declare Alice my welbeloved wife sole Executrix of this my last will & testament
And I make and ordeine my eldest sonne Willia Christian the ovrseer of this my last will And I give to him forty shillings for his paines in this behalfe over and above all such Charges as hee shall be at dureinge the same wch I will shall be likewise borne by my Executrix to the full

I give to the said Alice all my goods Chattells Corne and moveables whatsoever and I earnestly desire her that shee faithfull pay & discharge all my debts whatsoever wch beinge done I will the remainder shallbee to her towards the bringing up of my Children wch I hope shee will Carefully doe

This is the last will and testament of me Thomas Christian made the day and yeare above written concerninge all my houses lands tenements and hereditaments whatsoever

First I will that Alice my wife shall have and enjoy duringe her life my dwellinge house with all the lands therto belonginge savinge six acres of lands wch I had of my brother George Christian for wch I am to pay him seaven pounds by the yeare duringe his life wch said Land I give to my sonnes Willm and Abraham and to there heires for ever equally betweene them paying faithfully and honestly to their unckle the said Annuity of seaven poundes by the yeare

All the Residue of my houses and Lands after the decease of my wife I will shall bee equally devided amonge all my Children
In witnes whereof I the said Thomas Christian have heerunto sett my hande and doe avouche this to bee my last will and Testament

Thomas Christian was buried at Holy Cross, Goodnestone-next-Wingham, 15 Feb 1619/20.
Thomas Christian, Husbandman of Goodnestone married Alice Reyner, virgin of Nonington on 7 Dec 1594 at St. Mary the Virgin, Nonington, Kent.
Children of Thomas and Alice Christian: 18 Dec 1597 William; 2 Mar 1599/1600 Jane; 17 Oct 1602 Abraham; 17 Feb 1604/05 Thomas; 26 Apr 1607 Edward; 15 Apr 1610 John; 18 Oct 1612 Valentine; 19 Feb 1614/15 Bennet; 24 Jan 1618/19 Elizabeth.
