In the Name of God Amen I Daniel Clarabut of the Town and port of Dovor in the County of Kent Mariner being disordered in Body but of sound memory and understanding (praised be God) do make my last Will and Testament in manner Following (that is to say)

I give and bequeath unto my Wife Lucy Clarabut and to her Executors, Administrators and Assigns all my goods, chattels and personal Estate whatsoever, my Debts, Funeral Expences and other charges being thereout First paid and discharged, desiring my Woollen cloaths may be given unto my Grandson William, Son of my Daughter Mary Green

And I desire my two Leasehold Tenements in Dovor may go according to a Deed poll or writing of Appointment made thereof this day by me and the said Lucy my Wife

And I do nominate and appoint the said Lucy Executrix of this my last Will and Testament
and hereby revoking all former Wills by me made I do publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the tenth day of March in the Eleventh year of the Reign of his Majesty King George the second of Great Britain and in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and thirty seven [1737/8]

The above registered Will of Daniel Clarabut late of Dover deceased was proved April the 18th 1738 before the Reverend William Gostling, Clerk, lawfull Surrogate to the worshipfull Richard Chicheley, Doctor of Laws, Commissary General of the City and Diocese of Canterbury, lawfully deputed and Adm[inistrati]on of the said Deceaseds goods so far as concern the said Deceased and his Will was committed to Lucy Clarabut Relict of the deceased and Sole Executrix named in the said Will she being First sworn duly to Administer the same

Daniel Clarabut was buried at St. Mary the Virgin, Dover, Kent on 28 Mar 1738.
Lucy Claribut was buried 22 Oct 1738 at St. Mary, Dover. See her Will: PRC 32/61/1096b Lucy Clarabut, Widow, Dover, made 1738, proved 1739.
Daughter Mary [Marie] Claribut married William Green at St. Mary, Dover on 15 Dec 1719.
