First I direct that all my just Debts and funeral and testamentary Expences shall be duly paid and
satisfied as soon as conveniently may be after my Decease
And I Bequeath unto my Sister Sarah Gray the Sum of Ten pounds of lawful Money of Great Britain
To my Friend Mrs. Ann Forrest of the Butchery in Sandwich the like Sum of Ten Pounds
To Frances the Wife of Mr. John Carter late of the Cattle Market in Sandwich Linen Draper the like Sum of Ten pounds
To their Son John Carter the like Sum of Ten Pounds and my silver pint Pot marked
To my Friend Mrs. Susanna Donovan Wife of Mr. Thomas Donovan of Deal, Shoemaker, the Sum of Five Pounds
And to my Niece Esther Knight the like Sum of Five Pounds
All which several Legacies I direct shall be paid within Three Months next after my Decease
And I Give Devise and Bequeath All and every my Messuages Lands & Tenements, Hereditaments and real Estate And also All and singular the Residue of my personal Estate and other the property of which I shall die possessed or over which I have a disposing Power Unto John Stone Clarabut and Daniel Clarabut (sons of my late deceased Husband Daniel Clarabut) equally to be divided between them share and share alike as Tenants in Common and not as joint Tenants and to their several and respective Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns for ever
And I constitute and appoint the said John Stone Clarabut and Daniel Clarabut the Son(s) Executors of this my last Will and Testament and hereby and hereby revoke all other Wills by me heretofore made
In Witness whereof I the said Mary Clarabut the Testatrix have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this

and do hereby Give and Bequeath Unto my Brother John Knight the Sum of Five Pounds to be paid to him within One Month after my Decease

This is my last request that all my Clothes be equally divided between my Sister Grey and Esther Knight

The before registered Will and two Codicils annexed of Mary Clarabut Widow deceased was Proved the Ninth Day of September 1826 before the Reverend John Francis Clerk, Surrogate to the Worshipful Herbert Jenner, Doctor of Laws, Official General to the Reverend the Archdeacon of Canterbury, lawfully constituted by the Oaths of John Stone Clarabut and Daniel Clarabut the Executors named in the said Will They being first sworn duly to perform the same.

Mary Clarabut of Church Street was buried, aged 73, on 2 Sep 1826 at St. Clement, Sandwich, Kent.

Mary was born Mary Knight, and married John Carter on 19 Sep 1780 at St. Clement, Sandwich, Kent.
Mary Knight was baptised 26 Jan 1755 at All Saints, Chillenden, Kent, d. of Augustin and Catherine Knight.
