In the Name of God Amen, January the eighteenth day in the twenty third year of the Reign of King George the Second over Great Britain and so forth and in the year of our Lord Christ One thousand and seven hundred and forty and nine,
I Peter Clunn of the Parish of St Peter the Apostle in the Isle of Thanet in the Country of Kent, Mariner being of Sound Disposing Mind and Memory, Praised be God and Calling to Mind the Mortality of my body, I make and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner following that is to say
first I do Recommend my Soul to God and my Body I recommend to the Earth or Sea as it shall please God to dispose of the same.
And as for touching and concerning all and Singular the Estate both real and personal wherewith it shall please Mighty God to bless me with in the life, I give and Bequeath, Devise and Dispose of the same with manner and form as herein after mentioned that is to say

as for touching and concerning all such Messuages or Tenements, Land, Hereditaments, Real Estate and Appurtenances, whatsoever that shall belong unto me at the time of my death I give and devise the same unto Mary my well beloved wife, her heirs and assigns for ever.

Also as for touching and concerning all and singular my Ready Money, Salary, Wages, Plate, Linnen, Apparel & household goods, utensils of household and personal Estate whatsoever, wherever and of what, nature, kind, quality and degree so ever after in just Debts, funeral, all Charges and Expenses of Probate of this my last Will and Testament be all thereout, fully Satisfied, Contented and paid, I give and bequeath the same unto the said Mary my said wife, her Executors, Administrators and Assigns forever.

And I do make, name and appoint the said Mary, my said wife, sole and only Executrix of this my last Will and Testament.
And I do hereby revoke and make void all former and other Wills, Testaments, Legacy’s, Bequests, Devises and Executors at any time, hereto, for, by me, Willed, Bequeathed, devised, nominated and appointed. And I hereby ratify and confirm these presents only to be for and as my only last Will and Testament.

In witness whereof the Peter Clunn, the Testator, have, here, unto set, I put my hand and seal the day and year first, the above written ~ Peter Clunn ~
Signed, Sealed, Published, Declared and Delivered by the said Peter Clunn, the said Testator as and for ever his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have here unto at the request and in his presence set our hand as witness

This Will was proved at and on the Eighth day of July in the year of our Lord, One Thousand Seven Hundred and Ninety Three before the worshipful James Henry Arnold Doctor of Laws and surrogate of the right honorable Sir William Wynne Knight Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury, Lawfully Constituted by the Oath of Mary Clunn, widow, the relic of and Sole Executrix, named in the said Will, to whom Administration was granted of all and Singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased having been first sworn duly to Administer.
