In the name of God Amen The xijth [12th] daye of Aprill in the yeare of ower God [1554]
I Edward Cocke of the p[ar]yshe of Chartham being hole of mynd and in good remembra[n]ce thanked be God, do make this my p[rese]nte testament conteyning my last Will in man[ne]r and forme following
Fyrst I bequeyth my sowle unto almighty God my creator And redemer trusting to me saved by the myrettes of the passhon and deathe of ower savior Jheu Criste, my body to be buryed in the church yard of the pyshe of Charthm aforseid

And as concerning my goodes and C[h]attalls I give [w]holy to Johan my wyff payenge my debtes Whome a lone I make myne executrix
