In the Name of God Amen The xth daye of the monyth of february in the firste and seconde yeare of the reigne of king William and Quene Mary [ surely this should be Philip and Mary?!]
I Richard Cock of the parishe of Godmersham in the countie of kent husbandman beinge of hole mynde and good memory god by praysed but yet sick in the bodye do make and ordayne this my last will and testament in manner and forme followinge
Firste I bequethe my Sowle to god all mightie and to our Blessed Virgyn Marye and to all the blessed company of heaven, and my body to be buried in the churche yarde of godmersham

Item I give to the highe aulter of godmersham for my tithes and oblacons negligentlie forgotten viijd
I bequethe to my Son Sampson xx markes of lawfull money of yngland fyve markes to be paid to him within one yeare after my decease the rest to be paid to him everye yere xls till the hole some be paide

Item I give and bequethe my bed that I lie in and all that belongethe therto to my son Sampson
Item I give to Margaret Bear my daughter vjs viijd
Item I give and bequethe to Elinor Swift my daughter vjs viijd

Item I give and bequethe to Elizabethe Cock my daughter in lawe xs in the yere to be paid to her out of my landes [for the] terme of her lif
Item I give to Sithe Cock my son Richards daughter vjs viijd to be paid to her at the daye of her mariage

Item I give my howse and landes to Richard Cocke my son in fee symple and all my moveable paienge my debtes and bequethes whom I ordeigne and make my full executor of this my last will and testament
and Xpofer Aulsey to be my Overseer and he for to have for his paynes takeinge iijs iiijd
