In the name of God amen The xvijth day of November in the yere of o[u]r Lord one Thousand five hundred foure score & eightene [1598]
I Henry Cock of the p[ar]ish of Ash next Sandwch Sick of body but wholl and p[er]fitt of mynde & remembrance (God be praysed therefore) doe ordayne & make this my Last will & Testam[en]t in manner & forme following
First I bequeath my Soull to Almighty God my maker and redeamer in whom Standeth the hope of my salvation and my body to be buried at the discretion of mine Executrix

Item I will and bequeath to Symon Cock my youngest Sone one young Cowe or xls of mony to be delivred and paid unto hym when he shall attaine to the age of xxti [20] yers
Item I will to Barbara, Margaret, Mercie & Agnes my foure daughters to evry of them one ewe to be delivered to evry of them att the feast of St. Michaell Th'archangell next after my decease
Item I will & bequeth to Henry Cock my eldest Sone xxs to be paid unto hym when he shall attaine to the age of xxti yers

The residue of all my goods and chattells my debts Legaces and funerall expenses paid and discharged I give unto Margaret my wief wch Margaret I make sole Executrix of this my Last will & Testamt.
And Gilbert Omer my ovrseer

In Witnes of this my last will & Testamt. I have putte my marke in the prsence of

Henry Cocke, howsholder was buried 28 Nov 1598 at St. Nicholas, Ash-next-Sandwich.
Henry Cocke married Margaret Hatch 18 Sep 1578 at Ash.
Known children: Barbara 9 Apr 1581; Margaret 16 Jun 1583; Mary (Mercy) 25 Jul 1585; Agnes (Ann) 2 Mar 1588; Henry 3 Oct 1591; Symon 20 Jul 1595
