In the name of God Ame the twoe and Twentieth daie of December 1612
I Buckler Cocke of Godmersham in the Countie of Kent, labourer being in p[er]fect remembrance (thankes bee to the Almightie God), doe make this to bee my last will in man[ne]r following
Firste I doe Combude my Soule into the handes of the blessed Trinitie beleving & stedfastly hopeing to bee saved by the alone merits of Jesus christe my onely Savior
I doe leave my bodye to bee Decently buried in the Church yard of the parish Church of Godmersham nere unto my Ancestors here by the appointment of my Executrix, hereafter named

Item I will that Elizabeth my wyfe, my debtes and Legacies first discharged, shall have the use of all my househould Cattle and goodes dureing her natural lyfe;
and after her death I will them equally to my children George Cocke, Mary Cocke and Anne Durrant the wief of Simon Durrant and to bee devided by equall shifte betweene them

Item I will unto the said Simon Durrant and Anne his wief, to the longest liv[e]r of them, and to the heires of the said Anne, the Tenem[en]t wherein the said Simon Durrat nowe Doeth holde together with half the Drawing well to be admiesared [administered?] from the middle thereof toward the thurlofare? [thoroughfare?] of the said Durrant land he has from the middle of the field well decentlie to the said Intlofare? [thoroughfare ?], and all the said landes as they are now in the occupacon of he the said Durrant in our number? ....? Consents....to seid? or served by the Testimony of sufficient men, and in the knowledg of the said George Cocke my said sonne
And as the landes thereof will shewe, bonding to the landes of William Fleete, gent. north and East, To the Commons South and to the landes halfe well and Tenement of mee the said Buckler wch I do occupie and do dwell upon West.

Item I doe will the Tenement wherein I now dwell w[i]th the halfe well and the landes thereto belonging And that I doe occupie, beeing served? as aforesaid from the said Tenement halfe well and land afore given to the said Simon Durrant and Anne his wief and to the heres of the said Anne, unto Elizabeth my wief
And after her death to the said George my sonne and his heires, hee paying unto the said Mary my daughter three poundes of good English money w[it]hin one yeare and one daie next after the death of the said Elizabeth my said wief

And in default of payment hereof, the said Mary to have full power and dutifull? lien thereunto to enter unto the said tenem[en]t and landes with thappurtenncs [the appurtenances] willed as afore to my said sonne George and his heires and the same to hold and to take the proffits thereof till the said George shall make paym[en]t of the said three poundes to her willed as aforesaid

And I doe make the said Elizabeth my said wief and the said George Cocke my sonne my sole Executors of this my pr[e]sent testam[en]t and last will

In Witnesse whereof I the said Buckler Cocke have hereunto sett my hande and seale the day and yeare above wrytten
