This is the last Wille and ordinannce of me the foresaid John Cok made the day and yere aforesaid
First I will that the mesuage that I dwell in a xx acres of land be it more or less thereto belongyng the which somtyme were William Cok myn Unkell And also half an acre of land leing [lying] before hempestede Julien? ymmediatly after my deccease remayne to Richard Cok my son his heires and assignes Reservyng thereof to the said Anne my Wyfe for terme of her lyfe All the Chambre at the Southende of the hall of the sayd mesuage with free comyng and going thereto at all tymes befull
Also paying thereto to the sayd Anne yerely during her lyfe xl of good and lawfull money of England at the Feaste of Christmase Annunciacon of our blessed Lady Seint John of our blessed Lord Seinte John Baptiste and Seint Michell tharchangell by evyn porcons to be paid And for defaute of any of the said payments in forme above said to be paied in parte or in all Then I will the said Anne shall enter into and distrayne in all the said mesuage and lands with thappurtenances And the distrees theryn so taken lawfully to drive away lede away and to withold tyll she be fully content and satysfied
Also I will that the said Richard or his assignes shall kepe or cause to be kept at there personal? coste and charge yerely for the said Anne in the said mesuage and lands a cowe and a hogge as well in Wynter as in Somer well and fai[th]fully during her said lyfe
And I will that one acre of land leying in Wetherbynne? immediately after my dysease remayne to William Cok my sonn his heyres and assignes yelding and paying to the said Anne for terme of her lyfe the remaindre thereof to the said Richard my son in fee
Also I will that all my other lands and tents. [tenements] with thappurtenances in Godmersham aforesaid immediately after my decease remayngne to William Cok my sonn hys heyres yelding and paying yerely to the said Anne his mother for the terme of her lyfe xvi pounds of good and lawfull money of England at the feastes abovesaid by evyn porcons to be paid And for defaulte of any of the said payments in parte or in all in foure the abovesaid to be paied then I will that the said Anne shall entre and destragne in all the lands of the said William Cok with thappurtenances and the distresse therein taken so lawfully to drive away lede away and to withold unto the tyme she be fully content and satisfyed
Also I will that Gye [Guy] Cok my Brother pay or cause to be paid before the decease of Alice Willes my mother somtyme the Wyfe of Godfrey Cok my father to the marriage of Anne my daughter xl
Item to the mariage of Roberta my daughter xl
Item to Thomasine my daughter now the wyfe of John Aley of Godmersham aforesaid xvis viijd
And if any of my said two daughters Agnese and Roberta dye unmaried then I will that there halfe of the money to her asignes remaigne to her sister the levyng and the then halfe to be disposed by myne executors in the church of Godmersham or my soule my frends soules and all crysten soules
And the residue thereof to them so assigned to remayne to the said Thomasyn if she then leve or else to the heyres of her body lawfully begoten And for defaute of such heyres then I will that all the said money to them so assigned be disposed for my soule and all Crystens in the said church upon the day and yere abovesaid
