In the name of God Amen the vth day of the monyth of October in the yere of our Lord [1534]
I Guy Coke of the p�ishe of Godmersham beyng hole of mynde and in pfeyte [perfect] remembrance make this my last testament and wyll in manr and forme folowyng
Imprimis I bequeath my Soule to Almygty God to our lady and to all the Synts in hevyn and my body to be buryed in the churcheyarde of Seynt aurence of Godmersham foresaid

Item I bequeth to the hygh autr [high alter] there viijd
I wyl have at my burying masse with diriage * and necessarys to the same
I will have at my months mynde in lyke manr
Item I wyll at my yere mynde iij masses with dirige* and all thyngs necesary to the same
* diriage / dirige = dirge � i.e. a Roman Catholic service for the dead.

Item I bequethe to the lyght of Seynte Lawrence iijd
Item I bequethe iis viijd to the lyght of Seynt James
Item I bequethe to the pishe lyght iiijd
Item I bequethe ij of viijd towards a clothe to hange before the lyght

Item I bequeth to Agnes my wyff xl out of my moveable goods

Item I bequeth to Johane my daughter iijl vis viijd out of my moveable in cause and my worthes at the tyme of her maryage and at the yere end in equall porcons

Item I bequeth to Moyses my Sonne ii ewys ii lambys and ii seames of Barly

The Resydue of my moveables my detts and bequethes cotentand payed I gyve and bequethe to all my chyldren equally to be devyded amongst them

This is the last wyll of me the said Guy Coke made the day and yere within written

Imprimis I wyll my tent. [tenement(s)] and all my lands to John my sone at the next mychaelmas after my decease to hym and to hys heyres male

Item I wyll that Agnes my wyffe have the profeytts of my tents. and lands a yere aftr my decease paying the Rentts and kepying the reparacons
Item I wyll that Agnes my wyffe have into all my tents. time of her lyffe vis viijd by yere payed by the lands of John my sone hys heyres or assignes

Item I wyll that Nycolas my sone have out of my tents. and lands vl vjs viijd to be payed xiijs iiijd yerely And receyve payment iij yeres after my decease

Item I wyll to Myles my sone viijl out of my tents. and lands in lyke manr to be payed
Item I wyll also yf it fortune the sayd John my sone to dye without heyres male of hys bodye Lawfully begotten then I wyll my sayd tents. and lands remayne to Moyses my sonne in ffee

Item I wyll by yerely obytt [obligations?] of vjs viijd by yere out of my lands by the power of xij yeres to be begot in the churche of godmersham for the helth of my Soule and all crysten Soules

Item I wyll John my sone and Agnes my wyffe to be myn executors of this my last testament and wyll
Item I wyll Rycharde Pylcher of Crundall to be myn Overseer And he to have for his labrs xxd
