Will of Andrew Cole

of Edenbridge, Kent

Item I will that John my son have the house in the market place of Edenbridge and Richard my son to have the house next on to Wayterman's Lane.
Item I will that George my son have the house next on to the stichbourn gate after my wife's decease.
Item I bequeath to John Chalinger one featherbed.
Item I bequeath to Elizabeth Cole a featherbed.
Item I will that my wife have all the moveables and unmoveables to distribute where she thinks best and to pay my debts and to deliver to Elizabeth Cole five marks and if my wife marry after my decease then she is to distribute all the moveables among my children saving her own part.

Item I make my sole executrix my wife, and James Cole and John Chalinger to be overseers and to see all things performed above rehearsed as they will answer before God, and my brother James to have for his labour one steer of a year old and John Chalinger a heifer and calf for his painstaking. This is my last will and deed.
