In the name of God Amen the xxvjth day in the fouerth yeare of the Reigne of our Sovereigne Lord Charles by the grace of God of England, Scotland, France and Ireland, King, Defender of the faith etc. and of Januarij 1628/9
I Susan Coleman of the parish of Stanford in the County of Kent, being (thanks (to) my God) in reasonable health, perfect sense and memory, do make and ordaine my last will and testament in manner and forme followinge, vizt
First I bequeath my soule unto Allmighty God my maker, trusting for the salvation thereof through the merritts of Jesus Christ my Redeemer, And my body to the earth to be buried in the Chancell of the parish church of Stanford (if with any conveniency it may be donne) or otherwise by my Children in the Churchyard
My goods I have bestow

First I will unto the poore of the parish of Stanford that usually hould reliefe of the p[ar]ish 6s 8d
Item I give unto my sonne Henry Coleman fower pounds
Item I give unto my daughter Anne Court twenty shillings to be paid within one moneth after my decease
Item I give unto her daughter Gillian Courte forty shillings to be paid at her age of xx yeares
Item If shee happen to die before that age my will is be equally amongst the rest of my said daughter’s children surviving

Item I given unto my daughter Susan Carter twenty shilling to be paid within one moneth after my decease
Item to William Carter her sonne I give forty shillinges
and to Willinn Carter her daughter Forty shillings to be paid at her age of xx yeares,
one to be heir to the other, if one of them happen to die before that age

Item I give to my daughter Mary Horne twenty shillings to be paid within one moneth after my decease
and to her daughter Elizabeth forty shillings to be paid at her age of twenty yeares

Item I give unto Frances Coleman the daughter of Thomas Coleman fower pounds to be paid her at the age of twenty yeares
And if she happen to die before that age, then my will is the said 4 li shalbe equally divided betweene Susan and Elizabeth her Sisters

Item I give to my daughters Anne Court, Susan Carter, Mary Horne and Susan Coleman my grandchild? all my wearing apparrell woollen and linnen, to be equally shifted and divided amongst them

And so I do appoint and make my son Henry Coleman sole Executor to this my last will and Testament and do inoiyne [enjoin] him in to? use donation? of the fower pounds before given him, and mentioned in this my will, to defray all funerall charges whatsoever

In Witnes whereof I have set to my hand and seale Susan Coleman by her marke
Witness heerunto: Edward Emptage; Henry Watson by his marke

Probatum fuit: 9th February 1632/3

Note: Susan Coleman was buried at All Saints, Stanford, Kent on 25th January 1632/3.
