In the name of God Amen I Christopher Comport being sicke and weake of Bodie but of perfect sence and memorie doe make this my last Will and Testament as followeth
First I bequeath my mortall Soule into the hands of my blessed Saviour and Redeemer Jesus hopeing to be made a pertaker of his meritts through his death and passion for mee in the Kingdome of Heaven (and) I committ my Bodie to be interred in a decent and Christian manner after the forme of the Church of England in the North East part of the Chancell of Eltham Church where my wife shall send to appoint my Estate I bequeath as followeth

Inprimis to my deare wife Elizabeth Comport I doe give during the tyme of her keeping her selfe my Widowe That Ground that Robert Whitehead houldeth of mee by the Rent of Eighteene pounds per (Annum) lying in the parish of Eltham in Kent
I doe likewise give her Twentie pounds a yeare to be paid unto her halfe yearely out of the Parsonage of Eltham for sixteene yeares if she soe long continue my widowe and for want of payment she shall take the whole proffitts of the aforesaid Parsonage and impropriation untill she receave the Twentie pounds a yeare as aforesaid

I doe likewise give unto her Two Houses with Barnes and Outhouses with Orchards and Severall Closes of Land in the occupation of Davie Adams or his Assignes by the Rent of Tenn pounds a yeare a yeare lying in the Parish of Chishelhurst in the aforesaid Countie soe long as she Continues my widowe
I doe likewise give unto her she continueing my Widowe those Three peeces of ground the which I lately purchased to mee and my heires of Master John Ellys of Cheshelhurst by the Rent of Nine pounds per : in the parish of Cheselhurst in the aforesaid Countie

I doe likewise give unto her she Continueing my Widowe one house with a Barne and Outhowsing with yards and Orchards in the occupation of Nicholas Small by the Rent of six pounds a yeare in the parish of Chesilhurst
I doe likewise give unto her she Continueing my Widowe one house with an Orchard in the occupation of Richard Bush by the Rent of Three pounds a yeare in the parish of Chisellhurst aforesaid
I likewise doe give unto her One Bond of Ninetie pounds that my Father Thomas is bound to mee

I likewise doe give unto her the use of all my Household Goods in my house where I live and the use of all the house for Three moneths after my decease and after the Three moneths she is to take all the goods belonging to anie one Roome in my House and the goods in her Clossett for ever and my will is that my Executor and my wife doeth take within Tenn dayes after my decease an Inventarie of all the good(s) in my house without the lett or hinderance of any whatsoever
Likewise my will and pleasure is and I doe give to my Wife Twentie pounds to be paid unto her within Tenn dayes after my decease and Thirtie pounds within Three moneths after my decease and Eightie pounds within Six moneths after my decease

Likewise my Will and pleasure is that my Sister Margarett Gyles shall hold and enjoy that part of the Farme that she liveth in and belongeth only to the Wardens and Schollers of New Colledge in Oxford for sixteene yeares, paying to my Executor Twentie pounds a yeare she nor her Assignes making noe wast neither is shee to have any Woodland

I likewise doe give to the poore of the Parish of Eltham Tenn pounds to be paid to the Minister and the Overseers of the poore for the use of the poore within Three moneths after my decease
I likewise doe give to the poore of the parish of Chiselhurst five pounds to be paid to the Minister and the Overseers of the poore for the use of the poore within Three moneths after my decease
I likewise being mindfull of the decayd Estate of the Cathedrall Church of Rochester in the Diocese wherein I doe live I doe truly bestowe Tenn pounds to bee paid for the Glorie of God and the Repaires thereof within six moneths next after my decease

I likewise doe give to Richard Gyles my sisters sonne Tenn pounds to be paid within six moneths next after my decease
I likewise doe give to Edward Gyles another of my Sisters Sonnes Tenn pounds to be paid when he shall come to the age of one and Twentie yeares
I likewise doe give to Anne Giles the Daughter of my Sister Margarett Giles Tenn pounds to be paid within six moneths next after my decease
Further my Will and pleasure is that the rest of the money that my Father Richard Thomas doeth owe me beside the Bond of Nynty pounds he oweth mee the which I have given to my beloved Wife, my Will is that he shall have Three yeares to pay it, paying of it every yeare a Third part

I likewise doe give a Token of my love to Mr. Clement Hopson Three pounds to be paid within one moneth after my decease, further requesting him that he would be pleased to give leave to my loveing Freind Master Plome Vicar of E[a]st Greenwich to preach my Funeral Sermon and interr my Bodie afterwards as I have appoynted above in my Will
And I doe likewise give freelie as a Token of my love to Master Plome Tenn pounds and in Remembrance of his love to be paid within Three moneths after my decease

And all the rest of my Lands and Leases and all other of my Estate whatsoever which is not alreadie bequeathed I doe give to my Brother Richard Comport whome I constitute my full and sole Executor of this my blotted last Will and Testam[en]t made Anno Domini One Thousand Six hundred and Sixtie Five : September the Eleaventh

Before the ensealing hereof I doe give to Thomas Gyles another of my Sister Margaret Gyles sonnes the summe of Tenn poundes to be paid when he cometh to the age of Twentie yeares
