also I give and bequeath unto my good Friends Bonham Hayes of Cobham aforesaid Gentleman William Twopeny the elder of the city of
Rochester in the said County Gentleman George Gunning of Frindsbury in the said County Gentleman and George Wells of Cobham aforesaid
Gentleman the Sum of Fifty pounds of lawfull money of Great Britain Upon Trust
that they the said Bonham Hayes William Twopeny George Gunning and George Wells their Executors and
Administrators shall and do pay apply and dispose of the same to and for the use and
Benefit of my daughter Elizabeth Comport at such time and times and in such
proportion manner and form as to them my said Trustees shall seem most for the benefit
and advantage of my said daughter Elizabeth
Also I give and bequeath to the said Bonham Hayes William Twopeny George Gunning and George Wells their Executors
and Administrators all and singular my Good Chattels Corn Cattle Husbandry Tackle
Monies and Securities for Monies Debts Notes Leases Leasehold Estates and all other my
personal Estate and Effects of every sort and kind (not hereinbefore otherwise disposed
of and my just Debts Legacy and Funeral Expenses being thereout first paid and satisfied) Upon Trust
that they the said Bonham Hayes William Twopeny George Gunning and George Wells their Executors or Administrators shall and do with all
convenient Expedition after my death put off my Farming Business and sell and dispose
of all my said Goods Chattels Corn Cattle Leasehold and other personal Estate to the best
Advantage and convert the Same into money and call in and collect together all Sum and
Sums of Money which shall be then due and owing to me
and in the next place shall and do thereby and therewith in the first place pay and discharge all my just debts Legacy
Funeral Charges the costs of proving this my last last Will and Testament and other
incidental Expenses and in the next place do and shall pay assign or transfer all and
singular such moneys and other the Residuum of my said Personal Estate and every part
thereof which shall be and remain in their hands or due to them by virtue of this my Will
after deducting their reasonable costs and Charges
unto and equally amongst my daughters the said Elizabeth Comport Frances Comport Catherine Comport Rebecca
Comport and Charlotte Comport to be paid to them respectively within twelve calendar months next after my decease
in case they my said daughters shall severally be then of the age of twenty one Years
But if they my said Daughters shall not at the End of the said twelve calendar months have severally attained such Age then so soon as
they shall respectively attain the same or be married if such marriage be severally with the
Consent of the said Trustees testified by Writing under their hands
provided always that in case my said Daughters or any of them shall marry under the age of twenty one years
without such consent as aforesaid Then I do hereby order that the said Trustees shall not
pay the part or share of her or them so marrying without such consent as aforesaid until
two years next after the day of such Marriage unless in the mean time She or they
shall attain the said age of twenty one years and then to be paid to her or them on
attaining the said age as aforesaid
provided always that in case my said Daughters Elizabeth Comport Frances Comport Catherine Comport Rebecca Comport and Charlotte Comport or any or either of them shall die under the said age of twenty one years and unmarried then I give and bequeath the part and share or parts and shares of her or them so dying unto and equally amongst the Survivors and Survivor of them my said Daughters Elizabeth Comport Frances Comport Catherine Comport Rebecca Comport and Charlotte Comport share and share alike and to be paid to them at such time and times and in such and the same manner and under and subject to such and the same Controul of my said Trustees as their own Original Share shall become payable
And I do hereby order and direct that until the said Legacy of fifty pounds and the respective parts and Shares of the Residuum of my personal Estate of my said Daughters shall pursuant to this my Will respectively become payable the said Trustees their Executors and Administrators shall from time to time put and place the same out at Interest upon Government Securities or in the purchase of Parliamentary Stocks or on such other Securities as they shall think proper and yearly and every year pay and apply the Interest or Dividends thereof respectively to or for the Benefit of my said Daughters according to their respective Right and Interest in the same
provided always that it shall and may be lawfull for the said Trustees their Executors and Administrators to break in upon the said Legacy of Fifty pounds and the respective parts or Shares of the principal money hereby bequeathed to or intended for my said daughters at any time or times although the same shall not according to the directions hereinbefore given concerning the same be then payable if they shall see occasion and think it necessary for the Maintenance Education putting out use or Benefit of my said daughters respectively and pay and apply the whole or such part thereof as they shall see fit for the Interest and Advantage of my said daughters respectively not exceeding on either of them more than her own proper respective share any thing herein contained to the contrary in any wise notwithstanding
and I do constitute and appoint the said Bonham Hayes William Twopeny George Gunning and George Wells Executors of this my Will and do
hereby revoke all former Wills by me made
And lastly I do declare that it shall and may be lawfull for my said Trustees and Executors their respective Executors and
Administrators to retain to themselves by and out of the said Trust Moneys and Premises
all reasonable Costs and Expenses which they shall be at in the Execution of the
aforesaid Trusts and Executorship and for their time and trouble therein and that they
shall not be answerable for more Moneys or other things than they shall actually
respectively receive nor for any losses that shall happen without their wilful defaults and
not the one for the other but each for his own acts Receipts and Defaults only
In Witness whereof I the said Frances Comport the Testatrix have to this my last Will and
Testament contained in two Sheets of Paper to each Sheet thereof set my hand and to the
last Sheet my Seal Dated the day and year first above written

Signed Sealed published and declared by the said Testatrix Frances Comport to be her
last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at her request and in the presence of
each other have subscribed our Names as Witnesses in the presence of the said Testatrix

This Will was proved at London on the twentyeighth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy eight before the Right Worshipful Sir George Hay Knight Doctor of Laws Master Keeper & Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oaths of Bonham Hayes William Twopeny George Gunning and George Wells the Executors named in the said Will to whom Ad[m]on was granted of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased they having been first sworn by Commission duly to administer.
Frances Comport née Pemble, widow of William Comport, was buried at Cobham on 27 January 1778
