I William Comport of the parish of Shorne in the county of Kent farmer do make this my last Will & Testament as follows

I give & bequeath to my Brother in law Thomas Shearly all my money in the Stocks & elsewhere all my Goods Chattels & Stock in trade of all & every part of my property wherever or wheresoever it is placed or to be found

provided nonethelesss that the said Thomas Shearly out of the monies so arising shall pay to my brother George Comport the sum of two hundred pounds a year at four quarterly payments fifty pounds each quarter

In witness whereof I the said William Comport do on this day the twenty sixth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred sign my name & set my seal to the above Will & Testament in presence of the underwritten Witnesses

As I mean to convey my entire property to the above Thomas Shearly with the exception of the above two hundred pounds to my brother George Comport I think it necessary to specify that all my freehold Estates wherever they are situated are by this addition to my will bequeathed entirely to the said Thomas Shearly

I William Comport of Shorne in the County of Kent do hereby give & bequeath unto my housekeeper Bridget Gouch the sum of forty pounds per annum for her natural life

Proved at London with two Codicils 16th Febry 1816 before the worpl. John Dodson Dr of Laws & Surre. by the oath of Thomas Shearly the Exor. accordg. to the tenor haveg. been first sworn duly to adminr.

William did not marry. He was buried at St Mary Magdalene, Cobham on 22 January 1816.
