In the Name of Gode Amen the vith day of August the yere of our Lord [1488]
I Thomasyn Coke of Smarden in my good mynde and meorie beyng make and ordeyne this my present testamente in maner and forme folowyng that ys to say
First I bequethe my Soule to Almyghte god and to our blessed lady hys moder and to all the holy company of hevyn my body to be buryed in the churche yard of ye church of Seynt Mycholl Archangell at Smarden aforesaid

Item I bequethe to ye lyght of Seynt John iiijd

Item I bequethe to Alyce Lambe and Elyse Lambe ii gowne and ii bystillis ?
Item I bequethe to Elyse [and?] Margaret Coke i gowne of moyse and ii bystylle [bustle?]
Item I bequethe to Jone Coke my goddaughter a Chafer
Item I bequethe to Elyse Coke the daughter of Simon Coke a condistyke?

Item I bequethe to William Coke and to Thomas Coke sonnes of Stephyn Coke to each of them viij peec of pewtr A bakyr and A pan
Item I bequethe to Wymarlan Lambe A panne with Asterle?
Item I bequeth to Symon Coke my Sonne ii ewes drynes? A basyn and a querne
Item I bequeth to Thomas Coke my Sonne a brasse potte A basyn A laner? and A querne
Item I bequeth to Willm and Thomas Coke aforesaid A brass pott

and Residue of all my goods above my detts and quinthus payd I give and bequeth to Symon and Thomas my sonnes
and the said Simon and Thomas I make and ordeyne myn exors
be this present

Notes:
Thomasyn Cook�s husband, Laurence, died before two of their sons who died in 1479 (John and Stephen Cook � see their Wills).
Thomasyn is mentioned in both son�s 1479 Wills and father Laurence in John�s Will only.
Son Thomas moves to Wye � his Will in 1496 mentions the lands left him by his father in Smarden.
