I Hew [Hugh] Cooke, Taylor, dwellyng yn the pishe [parish] of Mynster yn the Yle [Isle] of Shepey yn the countie of Kent beyng of hole mynde and yn good memory, laude be to Almyghty God, make and ordeyne this my p�sent [present] testamente conteynyng this my last will yn manr [manner] and forme that foloweth
First I bequeathe and recomende my soule to Almyghty God my maker and my redemer [redeemer] and to the most gloros [glorious] Virgin his mother and ladye Saynte Mary And to all the holy copanye [company] of hevyn [heaven] And my body to be buried yn the churcheyard a foresaide next unto myne Uncle at the northe syde

Item I bequeathe to the high aulter of Saynte Sexburga [one of the saints of Minster in Sheppey] whereof now I am most sorry? for my tithes and oblacons by me forgoten xijd
Item I bequeathe to my Lady Pousse iiijd and to evy [every] of the ladyes ijd to pray for my Soule and all xpen [Christian] soules

Also will that Deenyse my wife shall fynde a coupe of iijl [�3] before the blessed sacrament beyng so longe as she kept at the tyme of fyus? And aft [after] that she is disposed

Item I bequeathe at my forthe beryng to Prouse & thanke yn the quore [quire] iijs iiijd
Item at the moneth day to preeste and clarke yn the quire vs
Item I bequeathe to Austen my sone xxs and vij lambes
Item I bequeathe to Margaret Barber of Sityngborn [Sittingbourne] my tawney gowne with the whyte f... [fur?]

Item I bequeathe to Willm Barber my shevelesse Cooke [sleeveless Coat?] of Minster a viles
Item I bequeathe to Harry my Brother myn ij plowed Beet? & ij shyte and a blakke Bonnett
Also I will see my Bodye honestly buried according to this my last will

The Residewes of my goods, my dettes & my bequeastes paid, I will that Deenyse my wife shalhave to bestowe for my soule And all xpen [Christian] soules

Also I will that John G...onton shalbe my ovrseer [Overseer] of my said wyll And him to have for his labor vjs viiijd
