In the name of God Amen the vth day of October in the yere of our Lord God [1534]
I Wyllm Cokke of Smeeth in the contye of Kent of p�fytt remembrance God bethanked, make my testament and last wyll in manr and forme folowyng
fyrst I bequueyth my Soule to almygtye god and my bodye to be buryed in the churchyard of Smeyth aforesaid

Item I bequeth to the high aulter there for my tythes and oblacons forgoten or withholden iiijd
Item to every of the lightys of our ladye of pety [pity?] Saynt Erasmus Saynt Nycolas Saynt ristofer [Christopher] and Seynt Katryn ijd sum xd
Item at my burynge I will have bestowed vs att my monethes daye vjs viijd at my yeres mynd as mye executors shall thinke good

Item to every of my godchildren that wyll marie and after it iiijd
And I bequeth to Katheren my wiffs daughter xxs

Residue of all my goods and chattells I give and bequeth to Agnes my wyffe

And I ordeyne my sonne Cristofer Cokke my executor and Thomas Cokke myn Overseer of this my last wyll and testament

This is the last wyll of me the sayd Wyllm Cokke made and decalred the daye and yere abovesaid

First I wyll that Stephen Webbe and John Oylande and others my feoffees shall suffer Agnes my wyffe to prove and take all the rents? and profytts of all my lands and tents. [tenements] durynge all her naturall life if she kepe her sole widow she kepyng all the reparacons Paying the rents and without stripp nor wast and if she fortune to marye agayne then I wyll that she shall have every yere after she be so maryed duryng her life xiijs iiijd and then to have the said lands and tents. and to have no more but the said xiijs iiijd

And after her decease I wyll all the said lands or tents. shall remayne to my sonne Cristofer Cokke and to the yeres [heirs!] of his bodye lawfullye begoten And if yt happen the said Cristofer to dye without heieres of his bodye lawfully comyng the said lands and tents. shall remayne to mye Sonnys Thomas Cokke and Sampson Cokke and to their heires for ever

And I wyll my said sonne Cristofer shall paye to my sonne Thomas xxxiijs iiijd to be paid to him his heires and assignes within one yere next after my wyff decease
And I will that the same Crystofer shall paye unto the same Sampson my sonne x marks to be payd to hym or to his heyres as ther after folowyth, that is to say, one halfe vl and xxxiijs within a yere next after my wyff decease and the resedue within one yere then next folowyng

And I wyll same done for my Soule my wyff Soule and all my frynds Soules in the church of Smethe
I mynd lastly there after my Commys [commitments] be payd a severall masses
