In the name of god amen, the xxxith day of December in the yere of our Lord god (1545) and the yere of the reigne of our Souraigne Lorde henry the viiith by the grace of god of Englande Frannce and Irland kinge Defendour of the faithe and in earth of the churche of England and also of Englande the Supreme head the xxxviith

I Thomas Cooke of Waltham in the countie of kent husbandman whole of mynd and of p�fecte remembrance thankes be therefore geven to god make this my testament and Last will in manr and Forme Followinge
First I bequeith my Soule to my maker and redemer Jesus Christe desiring hym of his ineffable goodnes and Clemancy to accept and take me his servant although I be a synner vyle and uncleane to his pirotecroy ? pitie and mercy so that after this transitory lifte I may come to the glory eternall and have everlasting blesse and never shall have end And my body to be buried in the churchyard at Saltwood note - Saltwood PR�s and BT�s don�t start for a further 15 years.

Item I will to the church of Waltham for my tithes and oblations negligently forgotten 12d
And likewise to the church of Waltham 9d Saltwood 8d
Item I bequeath towards the repayring ofen way called Harmay scale 6s 8d

Item I will that there be bestowed in churche masses and other charitable dedes for the perfection of my soule and all Christian soules to the forme of 44 13s 4d in manner and forme following that is to say At my out buryinge 13s 4d and at my monthes day 13s 4d And 4l 6s 8d residue of the funde 4l 13s 4d I willthat it be bestowed yearly by the space of tenne yeres in the parothe church of Waltham in doinge masses and other charitable deades as is aforesaid that it to say every yere 6s 8d

Item I bequeeth to Richard Woode my two kyne which he hathe in his possession
Item I beqeith to Clement Thomas and William Woode sonnes of the said Richard �4 evenly amonge them to be devided
Item I bequeith to John Levyndale my sisters sonne 20s

Item I beqeith to Rabage my wiffe thone hafe of my moveable goods and all my household stuf payinge out of her part or parcel before to her given to Stephen and Symon White sonnes of Thomas White my Son in Lawe twenty pounds evenly amongst them to be devided

Item I will to Thomas White brother to the said Steven and Symon White �10
and I also bequeith to Thomas Tompson my russett coote

The residue of all my goodes and catalles as well moveable as unmoveable of what degre qualitie or condicon soever they be first my debtes and legacies truly contented satisfied and paid I will and bequeeth to Thomas Coke of Wye and to Elizabeth White my daughter evenly between them to be devided whome I do constitute ordeyne and appoynt my Faithfull and true executors

these bearing Witnes John Cooke John Spurges and William Wyndefeld

This is the last will of me the said Thomas Coke made the day and yere above written

I will to the said Thomas Coke and Elizabeth White my daughter all those my lands and tenements situate lyinge and beinge in the paroche of Godmersham To have and to hold all the said premisses to them and to there heires of there two bodies lawfully begotten
And for default of such issue I will that all the premisses before veryfed remayn to the said Stephen Symon and Thomas White sons of the said Thomas Whyte To have to them and unto their heires of their bodies lawfully begotten
And for default of such issue I will that all the premisses remayne to the right heires of the said Thomas Coke forever

Item I will to the said Symon White all that my landes lying and beinge in the paryshe of Saltwood and Westhithe now in the occupying of one Henry Spycer To have to him and to his heires forever

Item I bequeith to the said Stephen White p�cell of my landes called Mollands lying in the parisshes last above veryfed to the landes of one haker [acre?] towards the east to the landes of the said Stephen towards the southe to the aid lades there called Moland to a hedge there alongst by the woode towards the west And to the landes of Honeywood gent and Peter Kingse toward the north To have to hym and to his heires forever

The residue of all my landes lyeing and beinge in the paryshe last above veryfed I will and bequeith to the said Thomas White to have to hym and to his heires for ever
