In the name of god amen In the yere of our Lorde god 1552 the xxth day of August and in the sixthe yere of the reigne of our Soveraigne Lorde Edwarde the sixt by the grace of god of Englande France and Irelande defender of the faith and in suche the church of Englande and also of Ireland the Supremhed
I Nicolas Cooke of Godmersham being hole in mynd and parfite remembrance make and ordayne this my testament and Last ill in manner and forme following
I bequethe my soule to allmightie god and to all the company in heaven And my body to be buryed in the churche yarde of Godmersham aforsaide

Item I will at my burying at the disposition of Moys Cooke my Brother
Item at my momethis mynde twoo bushells of wheate and twoo bushells of malte

Item I will to Alice Albery my mother in Lawe two busshells of malt and xiid in money
Item I will to Katherine Evey xxs when she cometh thage of xx yeres
Item I will Richard Williams a haifer bud blacke yard iii ewe sheepe twoo lambes and one wether
Item I will to my twoo godchildren of John Stones xid a pece
Item to the saide John Stone my olde yaray cooke and to Margarete his wif xid

Item I will to Nicolas Abery my godson one ewe sheepe
Item to Nicolas Shrubsole one ewe of iii yeres age

Item I will to Elizabeth my wife all my instuffe of houshold all my bakyn hogge iiii life waye one score three kyn at hir choice and fother for them till Saint George

Item I will to Moyses my Brother xo seames of wheate and x seames of barley
Item I will my wif to have all the residue of my corne how scituate only excepte to Moyse my brother

Item I will that Richard Testall my servant serve out his yere in the house and he to have the rest of his wage and twoo ewe sheepe and if he will not serve his yere out he shall not have his twoo sheepe that I have geven hym

Item I will to my brother Moys my carte all my horsses and harnes my carte my plough and all thynges belonging to them and all my othr Cattell and beastes not geven and bequethed
Whom I do make and ordeyne myn Executor in discharging fower poundes and the yeres terme with power unto hym and paying my dettes and legacies made the day and yere within written

Notes:
Brother Moys (Moses) Cooke dies and is buried at Godmersham on 5th March 1569. No Will found.
Sister Joan Cooke who m. John Shrubsole, and is buried in Canterbury 7th April 1575, and husband John Shrubsole is buried 15th April 1579, Boughton-under-Blean, Kent.
- Possible children: Joan, John, Edward, Thomas � christened between 1569 and 1571 at Boughton-under-Blean
