In the name of god amen
I Thomas Cooke of the parryshe of Sittingbourne beinge hole of mynde and in goode memorye not withe standing sicke in boddye dothe make and ordaine thys my last will and testament in manner and forme followinge at viij of the clocke at night
Fyrste I bequeth my soule to the mercye of allmightye god eternall god the father maker of heven and yearth and to Jesus Christe my Redemer and Savyorcure [Saviour!] of my synfull sole and my boddye to be bewryed in the churcheyarde of Sittingbourne

First I bequeth unto my godsonne Willyam Hunte xls, in good and lawfull moneye of ynglande to be paid unto hym at the age of xx yeers And that Thomas Chartham wid [widower?] of Sittingbourne shall hae the gonvernance of hym the hole terme of xx years

Item I bequeth unto Ellinge Hunte other xxs and unto Agnes Hunte her syster xxs to be paid to them at the age of xx yeers

Item I give to Symone Wyndon that kept me vs and a bushell of wheat

Item I will and give all my other goods unbequethed unto Thomas Chartham before named to paye my detts withall whome I make my full executor and governor of all the same moneye untyll they come to the age afore named

In Wytnes unto this my last will and testament the Wytnesses have sett their hands and seales even in the xiij daye of October and in the yeer of the Raigne if oure most gracious and Sondrannte [Sovereign?] Ladye by the grace of god Quene of Englande France and Irelande [1561]

No record of burial at Sittingbourne � but 1561 is the date of first church registers.
