Note: Will dated 14th May 1563. Elynor was buried 17th May 1563 at Rolvenden.

In the name of God amen the xiiiith daye of Maye in the fyfth yere of the reigne of our Sovereigne Ladie Elizabethe Queene of England France and Irelande and in the earthe the Supreme Head (1563).
I Elynor Cooke of Rolvinden beinge sicke in bodie and perfecte remembrance thankes be to almightie god Doo make my will and testament in manner and forme followinge
First I bequeathe my Soule to Almightie god and my bodie to be buried in the churche yarde of Rolvyden aforesaid

And I bequeathe to the poore at my buryinge xiiis iiid
Item I give to the poore at Christmas three bushells of wheate
Item I will and give to Joane Hancocke my russett peticote

Item I give to Constance my Syster my blacke frocke and a paire of sheetes
And I give to Constance a pewter dishe and a platter
Item I give to Adam Butchers wiffe my best russett peticote

Item I will and give to Margarett Cooke my daughter my greate brasse pott and a christening? sheete and a spytt the greatest
Item I give to Joane Poten twoo bushells of maulte
Item I give to my cosyn Geiles my best redd peitcote

Item I give to Leonerde Daye my cosyn all suche duetie and debtt as he owithe me and my husband

And all the rest of my goods unbequeathed I gyve to George Carpenter my sonne and Margarett Cooke my daughter to be shisted (!) equallie betweene them when Jervyce my sonne comethe to the age of xxiiii yeres

Also I doe make Jervyce Carpenter and Margaret Cooke executors to this my will and testament
And William goldfynch and William Denney my overseers
