Note: Will dated 11th May 1563. Gervyce was buried 13th May 1563 at Rolvenden.

In the name of God amen the xith daye of Maye in the fyfth yere of the reigne of our Sovereigne Ladie Elizabethe Queene of Yngland France and Irelande Defeder of the faythe and in the earthe the Supreme Comander? (1563).
I Gervyce Cooke of the parish of Rolvynden beinge sicke in bodie and good remembrance thankes doo make my will and testament in manner and forme followinge
First I bequethe my Soule to Almightie god and my bodie to be buried in the churche yearde of Rolvyden aforesaid

Item I will and give to Elynor Cooke my wiffe all my moveable goods
Item I will and give to Elynor Cooke my wiffe all my landes as longe as she doth lyve

Item I will and give to Gervyce Carpenter my wifes sonne a wenyer a heyfer budd and he shall kepe yt till it is twoo yeres olde

Item I give to Margaret Cooke half my moveable goods after my wiffes deathe
And I will that my wiffe shall not stripe nor wast but for reparacons and for his fowell ?
Item I give to the poore three tolratte of wheate

Item I doo make my wiffe my executrixe
I make Leonarde Daye my overseer to this my will
