In the name of God Amen The fourthe day of May in the yeare of our Lord God a thousand fyve hundrethe thre scoure and seaven and in the nynthe yeare of the reigne of our Sovereigne Lady Quene Elizabethe etc.
I Sampson Cocke of the paryshe of Leveland in the County of Kent Husbandman hole of mynde and in good and parfect remembrance god be preysed doe ordeyne and make this my last wyll and testament in manner and forme folowinge
First wyll and bequethe my Sowle to all mightie god trustynge throughe the deathe and � ashon [passion?] of our Blessed Lord and savyor Jhesus Chryste, to be inherytors of the celestyall kyngedom of god
Item I bequethe my bpdy to the earthe to be buryed accordinge to the custome of the churchyarde by the apoyntment of my executors

Item fyrst I bequethe to Godly Belke of Leveland Wydowe seaven pounds of money, whihe I have leyde out for her and all suche other thinge as I have in her house abydynge [abiding!]

Item I gyve to my Syster Margarett Beeve of Boughton [Aluph?] twenty shillings
Item I gyve unto my goddaughter my Syster Beeves childe fyve shillings
Item I gyve to my Syster Barbara wyff unto Thomas Gare of Ospringe twenty shillings
Item I gyve unto my Brother in Lawe Thomas Gare aforesaid a cote

Item I gyve unto my Syster Agnes, wyffe unto John Peers of Challock, twenty shillings
Item to my Brother in Lawe John Peers aforesaid twenty shillings
Item I will unto Sampson Peers my godsonne tenne shillings
Item to all the resydue of my godsonnes xiid a peece

Item all the resydue of my goods unbequethed I gyve to my Brother in Lawe John Peers, whome I make my Sole Executor
Item I gyve to my cosen Margarett Swyft twenty shllings

Sam(p)son Cocke was buried in the parish of Baldesmere, about 1 mile from Leaveland, on 5th May 1567.
