In the name of god amen
I Thomas Cooke of the parishe of Gravenie beinge in perfecte memorie doe make this my last Will and testamente in the name of the father and of the sone and of the holie ghoste and First I bequeathe my soule unto almightie god and my bodye to be buried in the church yard

and all my moveable goods I give unto Margaret my wyf duringe her lyf
and after her decease I give yt unto my godsonne Thomas Marshall and his heires forever yf he have live yssue
Yf he have none I give yt unto my godonne Thomas Napletone for ever

And I make Margarett my wife full executrix of this my last will and testamente
By me Thomas Cooke in the presence of
John Farnes and Joan Rychardson and Joane Pashfeilde and John Grifforke the second daye of Maye

Probatum fuit: 27th Maye 1598

Church records do not start until 1653.
