Memorandum that the Tenth of October (1606) Richard Cooke of Gravesend in the Countye of Kent Jurat beinge sicke in Bodye But of good and perfecte mynde and memorye did make and declare his laste Will and testamente nuncupative in manner and forme folowinge or the lyke words in effecte (vizt).

Speakinge unto his Wife Anne Cooke he said I wish there is a will in the yron [iron] cheste I praye shee burne yt And all that I have I geve unto these. And if I doe owe any thinge in this towne or elsewhere I hope then wilbe satisfie yt, whiche wordes were spoken in the presence of
John Douglas, Clark; Richard Pendelton, Margaret Morris

The will was proved by Anne Cooke, Relict of the Testator on 27th October 1606.
Sentence on 20 October in Latin mentioning Johanne Cooke filiu? pretender? and Johis Cooke

Note: Richard Cooke’s burial has not been found – nor has his marriage to Anne.
