In the name of God Amen The 24th day of August 1608
I Gilbert Cooke of the pishe of Ste Lawrence in the Isle of Tanet [Thanet] in the countie of Kent, Laborer, being sick in body but of our soule & p�fecte memorie thankes be gyven to God, doe make & ordaine this my last will & testamente in manner and forme Followinge, that is to saye
First I bequeathe my Soule into the hands of my Redeemer Jhesus Christe in [hoping] assuredleye to be saved by the meritts of his gratious deathe And my body to be buried in xpiane [Christian] buriall

Item I will and bequeathe unto John Symons my bothers sonne one ewe lambe to be delyvered to him ymediately after my decease

Item I will and bequeathe unto Roger Callis of the pishe of Ste Lawrence the tenements of litle howsse I nowe dwell in with the pssll [parcel] or peece of grownde thereunto belonging conteyninge by estimacon three calls? [acres?] of grownd more of less with all my worldly goods and chattells whatsoever thensuing [there ensuing]

Roger Callis I make the onely Executor of thus my Last will and testament

In Witnes whereof I the said Gilbert Cooke have unto this my last will and testament sett my hand and seale and subscribed my name the day and yeare first above written
