In the name of God Amen
I Edward Cooke of Wichlinge [Wychling] in the County of Kent labourer being sicke of body but yeat beinge of good and perfect memory thankes be to God do make and ordayne this my last will and testament in manner and forme followinge
First of all I do bequeuth my soule into the handes of the allmighty god my redeemer and Saviour and as for my goodes and landes as here followeth

In primis Item I give and bequeath to my sonn Edward Cooke my dwelling house lyinge and beinge in wichlinge afore sayde called Wallot Court with an orchard and all other landes belonginge their unto be longinge to him and his heyres for ever

And if the sayd Edward Cooke dy without heyers of his body lawfully be gotten then my will is that Jervis Cooke shall have and inioy the foresayde house and lands in as ample manner as Edward Cooke should have if he had beene leaving or his heyres as aforesayd

Item I do give and bequeath unto Jervas and John my sonnes and Sibell my daughter twenty shillings to either of them payable by my sonn Edward at his comminge to fower and twenty yeares of age if he so longe live or else payable by his right heyer then survivinge

Item I do give unto my wife Alice Cooke her dwellinge in my sayde house duringe her naturall life at the one end thereof called the kitchen rome
Item my will is that my wife shall have the bringinge up of my said sonne Edward Cooke and have the use of all my house orchard and lande till he come to thre and twenty yeares of age if he so long live

Item I do give to my sonne Jervis my great chest
Item I do give to my daughter Sibble a payer of pillo coates a kettle and a posnet

Item I give and bequeath to my wife Alse all the rest of my moveables or househoulde stuffe whatsoever in usinge my sonne Edward soe that he be well brought up in apparrell and other necessaries as meate and drinke duringe his minoritie

Item I doe make my wife sole executrix to this my last will and testament
In Witnesse whereof I have put my hand and Seale this fowerteenth day of August in the ninth yeare of his Maisties raigne of England France and Ireland and of Scotland the fore and forty in the yeare of our Lord one thousand six hundreth and twelve
