In the name of God amen the ninth daie of Maie in the yeare of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ 1626
I Frances [Francis] Cooke of the parish of Crundall in the Countie of Kent labourer beeng sicke of bodie but of good and p�fect Remembrance I praise almyghtie god therefore doe heere make and ordaine this my last will and Testament in manner and forme as followeth
First and principallie I will my soule unto allmigtie god my maker in whome I hope by the death of Jesus Christ my saviour to have pardon and forgiveness of all my sinnes and my bodie to be buried in the Church yarde of the parish of Crondall aforesaid

Imprmis I give and bequeath unto my Sister Jane Cooke of the parish of Minster in Thanett the sume of Five pounds of good and lawfull money of England To be paid within one whole yeare and a halfe next after my decease

Item I give and bequeath unto my Brother in Lawe Henry Yonell ye some of Five shillings of good and lawfull money of England To be paid within one whole yeare And a halfe next after my decease

tem I give and bequeath unto my Sister in Lawe Dorritie Yonell the some of Five shillings of good and lawfull money of England To be paid within one whole yeare And a halfe next after my decease

Item I give unto the poore people of the parish of Crondall the some of twentie shillinges of lawfull money of England to be paid att Christmas next after my decease
Item my will and meaninge is that my executor shall paye theis legacies terme daies before christmas daie to John Chapman or George Carter of the parish aforesaid and they to distribute to the poore aforesaid att their distribucon

Item I give and bequeath unto Susan Adman the wife of Nicholas Adman of Crindall the some of three shillinges of good and lawfull money of England to bee paid Tenn daies before Christmas day next after my decease

Item I give and bequeath unto Thomas Lancefield the Younger Thomas Daill John Terrie and John Friar all foure of the parish of Crundall To eyther of them Twelve pence a peece To carry my bodie to the churchyeard aforesaid To bee paid att my Funerall day

Item I give unto Mairy Smith iis vid To be paid att my Funerall day
Item I give to a learned preacher of gods words to make a Sermon att my Funerall day xs
Item I give unto John Church [crossed out and hard to decipher] of Crundall xs to bee paid att my Funerall day
Item I give to Nicholas Adman of Crondall xs to bee paid att my Funerall day

Item the Residue of all mygoodes before not bequeathed my debts Funerall Chardges and legacies First paid and discharged I give unto Thomas Cook of Hope my brother the within said Thomas Cooke I doe make and ordaine sole and whole executor of this my last will and Testament The which I doe will the said Thomas shall paie and discharge these my legacies and Funerall expences And to see my bodie decently buried And my will is that the Remainder of my goodes hee shall have for his paynes
