In the name of God Amen
I John Cooke of Sandhurst in the countie of Kent Yeoman doe this xiiiith day of Jannuary Anno Dom. style Angliae, 1627, make and ordaine this my last will and testament in maner and forme following, vizt.
first I give and bequeath my Soule unto Almighty God who gave it mee, and my body [to] the earth from whence it came to bee buried in the Churchyard of the pishe of Sandherst

Item I give and bequeath unto the poore people of the parish of Sandhurst aforesaid the Sume of five shillings and eight pence
Item I give and bequeath unto Mary Hills my daughter the Some of Fyve pounds of lawfully money of England
Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth Chittenden the somm of Ten pounds of like mony
Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Lidia Sanders the some of Ten pounds of like money
Item I give and bequeath unto Margaret Cooke my daughter the somme of Fowety pounds of like lawfull money of England
All which Legacies befoe bequeathed my mind and will is it shall bee paid unto them and every of them within one yeare after my decease by my Executors

Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary her five children the some of five pounds of like money to bee equally devided amongst them and put out for there use within one yeare after my decease by John Cooke my sonne and one of my executors hereafter named and paid to them at their Severall ages of one and twenty yeares or dayes of Marriage which shall first happen together with the profits which shall arise of there severall porcons afore mentioned
And if any of them happen to dy before their porcon soe devised shall be equally devided amongst those that are Surviving

Item I give and bequeath unto Mary the daughter of Patience Harman my daughter the some of ten pounds of lawful money of England
Item I give and bequeath unto William the Sonne of my said daughter Patience the like somme of ten pounds
to bee paid to them the said Meary and William at their Severall ages of one and twenty yeares or dayes of marriage which shall first happen and if either of them dy before they accomplish the age of xxi yeares or day of marriage then the Survivor to have his or her porcon soe deceased

Item I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Chittenden my daughter one Flockbed with that belonging unto it, to bee delyvered unto her ymedtly [immediately] after my decease
Item I bequeath unto Meary the wife of Robert Wood three shillings and fower pence

All the rest of my goods, Chattells and Creditts whatoever my debts legacies and Funerall expenses being paid and discharged I will give and bequeath into John Cooke and Richard Cooke my Sonnes to bee equally devided between them whom I ordaine and make executors to this my will and testament

And I ordaine and make John Reynolds of Sandherst overseer of this my last will and testament and give him for his paines iiis iiiid
