In the name of God Amen the 17th day of Decemr [December] in the year from the Insarracon [Resurrection?] of our lord and savior Jesus Christ one thousand sixe hundred twentie and seven
I John Cook of the p�ish of Stonnard in the Ille of Thanyt [Isle of Thanet] in the countie of kent do make and ordaine this my last will and testament in manner and forme following
First I thank my heavenly father for many his blessinges towards mee as for bestowing his wordly substance upon mee and for minding mee wth perfect forme and memory to performe the chritian dutie wch hereby I intend in disposing of the personall estate I have in this world as lastly and moste especially for creating me in his owne Image for Redemptone wth his presious blood of his deare sonne and making me a member of Christs his fine? church here upon earth
and my bodye I leave to dust to be decently buryed in this p�ish of Minster [in Thanet] at the discreation of myne executrixe

Item I geve and bequeath unto my Sonn William one Cowe
Item I geve unto my Sonn John twentie shillings of good and lawfull monye to be payd by my executix when soever he shall demand it if he do not come to demand it then it is my will that it shall be equally devided amongst my fyve Sonnes William Thomas Richard David Danyell by eqall portions

Item I geve & bequeath unto my Sonne Thomas fyftie shillings of currant Englysh mony to be payd unto him at the Age of one & twentie years
Item I geve unto my Sonn Richard fyftie shillings to be payd unto him at the Age of one & twentie years
Item I geve unto my Sonn Davyd fyftie shillings to be payd unto him at the Age of one & twentie years
Item I geve unto my Sonn Danyell fyftie shillings to be payd unto him at the Age of one & twentie

Item I geve and bequeath unto my daughter Jane ten pounds of good and lawfull monye to be payd unto hir at the Age of one and twentie years

And my will and mynd is that if anye of thes my Sonne or daughter do depart the world before thay shall attayne to the Age of one & twentie years that his or hir porcions shall be equallye devided amongst the Residewe of them

All the Rest of my goods cattells & chattells I geve unto my wyff Margeret Cooke and do make hir my Full and Solle executrix and my Sonn William overseer to this my last will and testament
but if it please god to take Away my wyff out of this my myszerable [miserable] world before such time as all thes leagacies be payd that then after hir deceas I do make my Sonn William executor to performe this my last will and testament

Notes:
John Cooke was buried 20th December 1627 at St. Mary, Minster, Isle of Thanet.
John Cooke married Margaret Bourne 31st May 1602 at St Mary, Minster in Thanet.
Children found (all christened at St. Mary, Minster):
01-Apr 1605 William; 17-Apr 1608 Thomas; 29-Oct 1609 John; 28-Oct 1612 Katherine.

John Cook (senior) was christened the son of John Cooke at Minster, with siblings:
06-Jul 1572 Thomas; 17-Nov 1577 John; 01-May 1580 William; 13-Feb 1583 Elizabeth.
