In the name of God Amen
I John Cooke of Hollingbourne in the County of Ket Pondmaker, being sicke and weak in body, but of good and perfect memory, thankes be to God for it, doe make this my last will and testament the third day of December in the yeere of our Lord 1631 and of our Soveraigne Lord the Kinge in maner and forme following
Imprimis I bequeath my Soule into the hands of Allmighty God who gave it, in full assurance of the remission of my Sinnes through the precious blood and meritts of my deare Lord and Saviour Christ Jesus, And my body I give to the Earth from whence it came to be buried at the discreson of my executor, and for that temporall estate which God hath lent mee in this world, I will it to be disposed of as followeth

First I give unto my Brother Richard Cooke junnr [Junior] ten pounds to be paid him by my executor within two yeares after my decease, that is to say, five pounds within one yeare after my decease, and the other five pounds at the terme of two yeares

Item I give to my Brothers Edmund and Peter Cooke And to my Sisters Elizabeth and Mary the sum of 20s a peece to be paid them by my Executor within one yeare after my decease

Item I give unto the three Children of my Brother William Cooke of Hollingbourne aforesaid, that is to say, to William, Margaret and Elizabeth, two parcells of land lyinge in the parishe aforesaid, comonly known by the names of Welshmans Gille and Pennies Broome, and now in the occupacon of John Buntinge, the annual rents of which land, I will unto the said three children of my Brother William towards theire bringinge upp now in their Childhood, and to them and theire heires for ever

But my will and desire is, that my deare father Peter Cooke, duringe his naturall life (if hee be now livinge) shall be paid by my executor the full sume of six pounds by the yeare by equall summes of three pounds at a time every halfe yeare after my decease and duringe the life of my father

Item I give unto my Brother William Cooke aforesaid, to him and his heires, my house in Feversham [Faversham] in the County of Kent aforesaid now inhabited by [blank] and Thomas Markes,

And all other my goods not all ready given my debts being paid I give unto my said Brother William whome I make full and sole executor of this my last will and testament

John Cooke, his brothers and sisters mentioned in the Will � their christenings are not found; and their father Peter Cooke, his burial is not found.
Brother William Cooke�s children are christened at All Saints, Hollingbourne: William 1 Jul 1619; Margaret 9 Sep 1621; Elizabeth 29 Aug 1624.
