In the name of god Amen The eyght and Twentyeth daye of Maie in the yeare of our Lord Christ 1633
I Roger Cooke of the Parish of Boughtone under the Bleane in the Countye of Kent Yeoman Sicke in bodye but whole in mynde and of good and perfect remembrance (God bee therefore thanked) doe make and ordayne my Last will and testamt [testament] in manner and forme following
First I commend my Soule unto the hands of Almightye god my Creator and Redeemer and my bodye to bee buried in the Churchyard of the parish of Boughton [under Blean] aforesayd

Item I give to every one of my Children xxs a peece to be payd them by my Executrixe heer after named I give unto them at there svll [several] ages of one and twentye yeares

Item I give full power and authoritye to Elizabeth my wife and to her assigns to sell my Messuage Tenemt [tenement] with the Lodge Gardens Orchards and two Acres of Land thereto belonging at Stockheld Hyll ? for her maintenance and the bringing up of my chyldren in such manner as my sayd wife shall (think) good

All the Residue of my goods and Chattlee [chattels] my debts Legacyes and buryall discharge I give to Elizabeth my wife whom I make sole Executrix of this my last will and testament

And I desire my father in law George Oqubber [actually Ockman] to bee my Overseer that this my last will and testament bee duely executed and performed

Probatum fuit: 17th August 1633

Notes:
Roger Cooke was christened 16th Nov. 1589, s. of William Cooke, at St. Mary, Chilham.
Siblings: Mary 11 Feb 1588; William 9 Apr 1592; Alexander 29 Sep 1594; Thomas 12 Sep 1596 (burial not found?); Thomas 17 Aug 1600 � all christened St. Mary, Chilham, Kent.

Roger Cooke married Elzabeth (sic) Ockman 15th December 1623 at Monks Horton.
Their known children (all christened at SS Peter & Paul, Boughton-under-Blean):
Elizabeth 23 Feb 1623; George 29 Mar 1630; William 15 Jun 1633 (and Bu.: 14 July 1633).
Roger Cooke died and was buried 29th July 1633, Householder; Elizabeth his wife died and was buried 22nd Oct. 1633, Widow � both at SS Peter & Paul, Boughton-under-Blean
