In the name of God Amen
I Thomas Cooke of Woodchurch in the County of Kent husbandman, beinge weake in body but of good memory and undertanding blessed be God doe make this my last will and testament in manner and forme following
First I bequeath my Soule to God Allmightie, hopeing only to bee saved by the meritts of Jesus Christ our Lorde
Next I bequeath my body to bee buryed in the Churchyard of Woodchurch at the discretion of my Executrix

Item I give to my sonne John Cooke five sheepe,
to Catherine the daughter of my sonne John one lambe
Item I give to my sonne Richard Cooke five shepe
Item I give to my sonne Alexander Cooke five sheepe and a lambe
Item I give to my sonne Henry Cooke five sheepe and a cowe

Item I make and ordaine Katherine my wife Executrix of this my last will and testament
And my funerall expenses being discharged I give and bequeath all the rest of my goods chattells and debts whatsoever [to her?]

In Witnesse whereof I have hereunto sett my hand April 9 : 1638
