I Elizabeth Cooke of the Towne and Porte of Dover in the County of Kent widdow, being weake in body but of Sound and p�fect [perfect] memory, praised be God therefore, doe make and ordainr this my last will and Testament in manner and forme following (that is to say)
First I comend my Soule into the hands of Almighty God my Creator trusting and assuredly beleeving to be made p�taker [partaker] of everlasting Life through the only merritts an righteousnesse of Jesus Christ my Lord and onely Saviour and Redeemer and my Body I comitt to the Earth whereof it was made

tem I will and bequeath to my sonne Michaell Cooke his executors and assignes All that Messuage or Tenement with the Stable backsides grounds and appurtenances thereunto beloning Scituate lyeing and being upon the Crosse wall* neere the Peere [Pier] in Dover aforesaid and now in the occupacon of Abraham Shrewsbury or his Assignes And all my Estate right Tytle and Interest of and in and to the same
* The cross wall was situated near to Archcliffe to the West of Dover.

Item I give will & bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Cooke her Executors and Assignes, the house wherein I the said Elizabeth Cooke doe now dwell with the backsides ground and appurtenances thereunto belonging Scituate and beinge neere the Peere in Dover aforesaid And all my Estate right Tytle and Interest of and in and to the same And alsoe my Best Head Bolster and Bedsteddle and my great Chest and a paire of Holland Sheetes and my Wedding Ringe

Item I give Will & bequeath into my daughter Anna Cooke her executors and assignes the house next adioyning [adjoining] to my said Dwelling house with the appurtenacnes thereunto belonginge now in the occupacon on of William Rayne or his Assignes And all my Estate right Tytle and Interest of and in and to the same

Item All the rest and residue of my goods chattells household stuffe Ready money Debts and other p�sonall [personal] Estate whatsoever and wheresoever not hereinbefore bequeathed I give will and bequeath too my three Children Michael Elizabeth and Anna Cooke before named equally to be devided betweene them my debts Legacies Funerall expences and the charges of proving this my Will being first paid and discharged

Item I make and ordaine my sd [said] daughter Elizabeth Cooke Full and Sole executor of this my last Will and Testament, And my loveing Freinds Richard Gibbon and Samuel Bates Overseers thereof, requesting them to be Ayding [aiding] and Asisting unto my said Executrix in the due execution and performance of the same

In Witness whereof I the said Elizabeth Cooke to this my last Will and testament have set myy hand and Seale Dated the Firste day of June Anno Dini 1676 And in the Eight and Twentieth yeare of the Reigne of our Soveraigne Lord Kinge Charles the Second over England

Notes:
Richard Coke (Cooke)�s marriage to an Elizabeth is not found in Kent.
Their 3 children (all christened at St. Mary the Virgin, Dover):
28-Mar 1652 Michaell; 24-Aug 1653 Elizabeth; 11-Nov 1654 Ann (Anna in the Will).
Richard Cooke, Salter, died and was buried on 7th April 1673 at St. Mary the Virgin, Dover.
Elizabeth Cooke�s (the mother) burial is not found.
Daughter Elizabeth Cooke married Thomas Filleter on 3 May 1677 at St. Mary, Dover.
Daughter Anna Cooke married Richard Peter on 4 May 1676 at St. Mary, Dover.
