In the name of God Amen
I was Nicholas Cooke of the parish of Chislett in the County of Kent Weaver being weake in body and of perfect mind and memory doe make and ordaine this my last will and Testament
First I will and bequeath my Soule to Almighty God hopeing by his mercy and our Saviours merritts for the remission of my times and life beyond everything vizt. I bequeath my body to the ground to be buryed with Christian buryall according to the direction of my Executrix hereafter named and as for my goodes I dispose of them in manner and forme following

Imprimis I give and bequeath unto my sonn William the house and land that belong to the house I now dwell in att his age of one and twenty yeares the rent of it too bring him up to the age of one and twenty

Item I give to my daughters Ann and Hesther all the house and what belongs to them att Chilham now in the occupation of John Johnson and John Irons and Robert Homersham Samuel Park and that house at Aikell [Acol?] with a barne and an acre of land now in the occupation of Thomas Osborne to be equally devided when they arrive to the age of one and twenty the rent to bring them up

Item I desire them houses att Petham to be sold by my Executrix to pay my Debts and I give my Cozen Elizabeth Greens out of the houses and land att Petham after my decease ten pounds
I give to Elizabeth Greens a large chist and a large presse and bible that stands in the parlour where I now dwell that was her mothers

Item I nominate and appoint my dearly beloved wife Ann my Executrix of this my last will and Testament revoaking all my former wills and ordering her to paying my debts
Witness my hand and seale this twenty seaven day of February 1699

Nicholas Cooke married Anne Coleman 26th October 1680 at St. Mary Bredin, Canterbury.
William Cooke was c. 1 May 1695 at Chislet, s. of William and Anne Cooke.
