In the name of God Amen
I Nicholas Cooke of the Parish of Elham in the County of Kent Yeoman being in good health in Bodye & of sound and perfect mind and memory praised be therefore given to Almighty God do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testamt [Testament] in manner & form following (that is to say)
First I comend my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God hoping thro� the merits death & passion of my Saviour Jesus Christ to have full & free pardon & Forgiveness of all my Sins and to inherit Everlasting Life And my Body I comitt to the Earth to be decently buried at the Discrecon of my Executor hereafter named

Imprimis I give unto my Daughter Elizabeth now Wife to David Pilcher of Elham aforesaid All & Singular my Messuage and Tenem. [Tenement] Barn Stable and Outhouses & Three peices or parcels of Land thereunto belonging lying and being in the parishes of Elham and Barham at a certain place there called Redhook To have the said Messuage Lands & premisses to her & her heires forver imediatly after my decease

Item I give unto my Grandaughter Elizabeth Pilcher one pece of Land containing one acre & an half commonly called Kitchens Land belonging to the aforesaid Messuage situate lying & being in Barham aforesaid To have all the said peice of Land and all thereunto belonging unto the said Elizabeth Pilcher and her Heirs forever imediatly after my decease

Item I give unto my Son John Cook one shilling to be paid him by my Executrix in One Month after my decease
Item I give unto my Son Richard Cook one shilling to be paid him by my Executrix in One Month after my decease
Item I give unto my Son James Cook one shilling to be paid him by my Executrix in One Month after my decease

Item I .... my Daughter Elizabeth now Wife to the said David Pilcher my Sole Exor [Executrix] of this my Last Will & Testament
& all other Wills I utterly make void & disannull and I make & ordain this my Last Will & Testament

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and annexed my Seal this p�sent one and twentieth day of August in the sixth year of the Reign of our Sovreign Lady Anne by the Grace of God of Great Britain France & Ireland Queen Defender of the Faith etc. Anno Dini. One Thousand Seven Hundred and Seven 1707.

Notes:
Nicholas Cooke was buried at St. Mary, Elham on 8th April 1714.
He had married Rebecca? probably in the Commonwealth (not found). Rebecca Cooke pre-deceased Nicholas and was buried, aged 63, on 6th March 1698.
Their children (all christened Elham unless otherwise given):
John 10 Dec 1662; James 23 Feb 1664 (Bu: ??); Richard 24 Mar 1666; Elizabeth 17 Jul 1670; James 5 Jan 1673.

Daughter Elizabeth Cooke married David Pilcher in Wootton by Licence, thus:
David Pilcher of Elham, Husbandman, Bachelor, 23 and Elizabeth Cooke of Elham, Spinster, 22, whose father consents. Benjamin Pilcher of Elham, Husbandman, Bonds. 18th December 1693.
Son Richard Cook married Johanna Hall 24 Sep 1681 at Elham.
