In the name of God Amen The one and Twentieth Day of January in the seventh Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith etc. Anno Dm 1720
I Rebecca Cook of Godmersham in the County of Kent Widow being of sound Mind and Memory (God be praised for the same) and considering the uncertainty of this mortal Life do therefore make and ordain this to be my last Will and Testament in manner following
First I humbly recommend my soul unto Almighty God hopeing through the Merits Death and Passion of Jesus Christ my only Saviour and Redeemer to receve Forgiveness of all my Sins and to inherit everlasting Life my Body to the earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executors hereafter named and my worldly Goods I dispose thereof as follows

Imprimis I give and bequeath unto my three daughters Mary Rebecca and Anne half a Guinea of Gold to each of them
Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Sarah one shilling she having received before of me what I assigned her

All the Rest and Residue of my Goods Chattells and personal Estate whatsoever after my debts and Funerall Charges are paid I give unto my two Sons John Cook and Nicholas Cook whom I do hereby make joint executors of this my last Will and Testament

Notes:
John Cook m. Rebecca Coleman 20th February 1683 at St. Mary Bredin, Canterbury � he was aged 28, Husbandman of Petham; she aged 19 of Petham. John died and was buried 21 May 1707 at Godmersham. Rebecca died and is buried 8 Apr 1729 at Godmersham.
Their children:
Elisabeth 4 Feb 1688, Petham � bu: 29 Mar 1690, Godmersham;
Nicholas 6 Apr 1690, Petham; he m. Mary Videan 12 Dec 1723, Bachelor & Spinster, both of Godmersham.
Rebecca 9 Apr 1693, Godmersham; John 28 Jun 1696, Godmersham;
Ann 12 Feb 1698, Godmersham; Sarah 15 Aug 1703, Godmersham.
Daughter Mary is not found as yet.
