In the Name of God Amen
I Joseph Cooke of the City of Canterbury Grocer being of sound and perfect Mind and Memory God be praised do make and ordain this my last will and Testament in manner and form following (That is to say)

I give and bequeath to my Maid Servant Elizabeth Goldsmith the Interest and profits of one hundred pounds Capital Stock in the New South Sea Annuitys for and during the Term of her natural Life And from and immediately after her decease I give and bequeath the said Sum of one Hundred pounds to my loving Brother James Cooke his Executors Administrators and Assigns

Also I give and bequeath to the said Elizabeth Goldsmith the bed and the rest of the furniture of the Chamber where she now lies

and all the rest and residue of my Goods Chattells and personal Estate whatsoever I give and bequeath to my said Brother James Cooke his Executors Administrators and Assigns

And I do hereby make and ordain my said Brother James Cooke sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament And I do hereby revoke and make void all other wills by me at any time heretofore made And declare this only to be my last will and testament

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand an Seal the one and Thirtieth day of March in the year of our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and Forty four

This Will was proved at London before the Worshipfull Robert Chapman Doctor of Laws Surrogate of the Right Worshipfull John Bettesworth also Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted the Twenty sixth Day of June in the year of our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and Forty four By the Oath of James Cooke the Brother of the deceased and Sole Executor named in the said wi8ll To whom was granted Administration of all and singular the Good Chattells and Credits of the said deceased being first sworn duly to administer.
