This is the last Will and Testament of me Thomas Cook of the Town and Port of Dover in the County of Kent Carpenter

I Give Devise and Bequeath unto my Wife Charlotte her Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns All that Messuage of Tenement Garden Ground and Appurtenances scituate (sic) in the parish of Charlton in Dover aforesaid sometime since in the occupation of John Wise, late of James Godden, and now of Thomas Harris and Ann Harris And also all other my Property Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever To hold the same unto my said Wife Charlotte her Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns for ever

And I do hereby nominate and appoint my said Wife Charlotte sole Executrix of this my Will

In Witness whereof I the said Thomas Cook have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this Ninth Day of January one thousand eight hundred and twenty nine

Signed sealed published and declared by the said Thomas Cook as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our Names as Witnesses

The before registered Will of Thomas Cook deceased was proved the tenth Day of January 1845 before the Worshipful Sherrard Beaumont Burnaby Doctor of Laws Commissary General of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oath of Charlotte Cooke, Widow, the Relict of the deceased, the Sole Executrix named in the said Will she being first sworn (by comiss. [commission] ) well and truly to perform the same.

Notes:
Thomas Cook was not buried until 9th June 1844 at SS Peter & Paul, Charlton-by-Dover, aged 63 (giving him a date of birth circa 1781).
Wife Charlotte was also buried there on 23rd November 1856.
Thomas Cook married Charlotte Tomlyn on 8th December 1804 at St. James, Dover.
Thomas and Charlotte�s children (all christened at St. Mary the Virgin, Dover):
13 Nov 1808 Sarah Deal Cook; 24 Feb 1811 Mary Ann; 14 Feb 1813 Jane; 30 Apr 1815 John; 8 Jul 1821 Thomas.
Thomas Cook was the son of Richard and Mary Cook, christened 6 December 1778 at St. Mary the Virgin, Dover.
