In the Name of God Amen I JOHN COOPER of Eastrey in the County of Kent Collermaker the Elder being weake in body but of good and perfect Mind and Memory taking into consideracon the uncertainty of Lifes continuance doe make and ordeyne this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following
First I bequeath my Soule into the Hands of the Almighty my Creator with full assurance through faith in Chryst Jesus my Saviour and Redeemer to bee made partaker of life everlasting after the mortall life shall bee ended
And my body to the Earth whereof it was framed to bee buryed at the discretion of my Executors hereafter named.

Item I doe make and ordeyne my very loving Brother THOMAS COOPER of Ash in the County abovesaid Yeoman and my Brother in Law RICHARD GOLDFINCH of Nonnington in the said County Yeoman to bee Joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament who I desire to see the same well and truly performed.

Item I doe give and bequeath unto JOHN COOPER STEPHEN COOPER RICHARD COOPER three of my sonnes and to my Daughter ANNE COOPER the sume of seaven pounds apeece of lawfull mony of England to bee paid unto them in manner following
That is to say seaven pounds to my Sonne JOHN at the end of fower monthes next after my decease
seaven pounds to my Daughter ANNE at the end of six monthes next after my decease
and seaven pounds apeece to my Sonne STEPHEN and my Sonne RICHARD at their severall and respective ages of twenty one yeares by my said Executors
And the use and benefirt of their said severall sumes until the same shalbee severally due to them I give and bequeath towards the bringing upp of my two younger Sonnes THOMAS and WILLIAM.

Item I give and bequeath unto THOMAS my Sonne the sume of twelve pounds and tenne shillings of like mony of England to bee paid unto him by my Executors at his age of twenty one yeares
Item I will and bequeath unto WILLIAM COOPER my Sonne the sume of seaventeen pounds and tenne shillings of like mony of England to bee paid unto him by my said Executors at his age of twenty one yeares

Item I give unto KATHERYN my Daughter the sume of twelve pounds of like mony to bee paid her at her age of twenty yeares or Day of Marriage which shall first happen by my said Executors.
And the use and benefirt of my said Sonnes THOMAS and WILLIAMs porcons and of my Daughter KATHERYNs to bee paid and disposed severally and respectively to them for and towards their maintenance and bringing upp in the meantime by my said Executors.

Item My will and meaninge is that if either of my said children happen to dye and departe this life before the Legacie or Legacies to him or her given shall become due and payable that the Legacie or Legacies of him or her so dyeing shalbee equally divided betwixt all the rest of my said children then liveinge.

Item For the satisfying discharging and payinge the severall Legacies and sumes before given and likewise for the discharging of all my Debts Charges and Funerall Expenses I give will and bequeath unto my said Executors THOMAS COOPER and RICHARD GOLDFINCH and to their Heires to bee sould and disposed of to the best Advantage soe soone as conveniently they may as well all that my peece or parcel of arable Land conteyning by estimation three acres and a halfe more or lesse lying and being in Eastrey aforesaid att or neer the Windmill there now in the occupation and bounding to the highwaye there towards the East and West towards the Lands of the Heires of EDMUND PARBO Gentleman towards the South and to the Lands of JOSHUA PARRAMORE there towards the North together with the cropp and cropps of barley thereon growing as alsoe all and singular my moveable goods householdstuffe catIe chattells Rights and Credditts whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature or degree soever they bee.

Item After the Legacies before given my Debts Charges and Funerall Expenses shalbee paid and discharged if any overplus then bee in the Hands of my said Executors my will and meaninge is that the same shalbee disposed of amongst my said children then lyving according to the discretion and approbation of my said Executors.

In Witness whereof I the said JOHN COOPER the Elder have to this my last Will and Testament conteyned in two sheetes of paper my Hande and Seale sett and putt this 23rd Day of May in the Yeare of Our Lord Christ 1652. The Marke of the said JOHN COOPER the Elder.
