And I doe nominate and appoint MARRIE my loveinge Wife to be Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament.
Alsoe I will and give to my twoe Daughters KATHERINE COOPER and MARGERY COOPER the sume of five pounds apeece of lawfull English money, my Daughter KATHERINEs five pounds to be paid her within twelve monethes after my decease. And if either of my said Daughters dye before their said Legacies shalbe due and payable that then the Legacie of her so dyeing shalbe paid to her that shall soe survive. And if both my said Daughters shall dye before their said Legacies of five pounds apeece shall be due and payable that then I will that the same shalbe paid to my Sonne SILVESTER COOPER.
Alsoe my will and meaninge is I do bequeath and give to MARRIE my Executrix and to her Heires forever all that my peece or parcel of arable Land conteyninge by estimation three acres and a halfe more or lesse lying at Eastrye in the said Countye neere the Windmill there which I late purchased to me and my Heires to be by her sold and disposed of to the best advantage within twelve monethes next after my decease by and with the assistance and helpe of JOHN KELLEY of Ashe aforesaid Yeoman whoe I desire will oversee the same and the performance of this my Will.
And the moneys that the same shalbe sold for my will is that soe much thereof that is in my Hands and from me due to all or any the children of my Brother JOHN COOPER deceased as from Executor with my brother RICHARD GOLDSMITH of Nonnington of the Will of the said JOHN shalbe thereupon be paid into the Hands of the said RICHARD GOLDSMITH by my Executrix he then deliveringe up one Bond I have given him for security thereof and discharge her of the same.
And the Remainder thereof I will and give to my Sonne SILVESTER COOPER aforesaid which I doe will alsoe shalbe paid into the Hands of the said JOHN KELLEY for the use and benefitt of my said Sonne SILVESTER until his age of one and twenty yeares and the benefitt thereof in the meantime to be paid to my said Sonne for and towards his livelihood and bringing upp.
All other my Estate whatsoever after my Debts Legacies and Funerall Charges shalbee paid and discharged I will and give to my Executrix and loveinge Wife whoe I doe earnestlie desire will bring upp my said youngest Daughter MARGERY haveinge towards the same onlie the use and benefitt of her said Legacie of five pounds before given to her.
And I doe hereby revoke all former Wills by me made.
Alsoe I will bequeath and give to my eldest Sonne JOHN COOPER in case he be now living
which I doe suppose he is not the sume of twentie shillings of lawfull English money.
In Witness whereof I the said THOMAS COOPER have to my present last Will and Testament
conteyned in twoe sheets of paper my Hand and Seale sett and putt this 12th Day of August in the
Yeare of Our Lord Christ 1656. THOMAS COOPER his Marke.
