I JOHN COOPER of Littlebourne in the County of Kent collarmaker being sick and weak in body but of sound mind and memory make this my will and testament in manner following. First I direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses may be paid as soon as conveniently may be after my decease and to my worldly affairs wherewith it has pleased God to bless me with in this life I give and bequeath the following

I give and bequeath to my daughter MARGARET MANTLE widow all those of my two messuags and tenements with the gardens and appurte'nces thereto belonging the same which I purchased off my late brother JOHN ROSE deceased, lying in Littlebourne and now in the occupation of my said daughter MARGARET MANTLE and CLEMENT BILLY with full power to sell dispose of or to do in order for her better support and subsistence.
Item: I give to my said daughter MANTLE the sum of twenty-five pounds

Item: I give my daughter MARY WHITE, wife of THOMAS WHITE of St. Nicholas in the Isle of Thanet the sum of twenty pounds to be paid by my executor within six months after my decease.

Item: I give to my daughter ANN BROWNING now the wife of EDWARD BROWNING victualler of Bramling the sum of twenty-five pounds to be paid within six months of my decease.
Because my son in law BROWNING has borrowed and received off me the sum of fifty pounds which I lent him on a Note of Hand my will and pleasure is that the said sum of fifty pounds shall be in part of my daughter ANN BROWNING'S legacy that my executor on paying the sum of seventy five pounds more to ye said ANN BROWNING making in the whole the sum of one hundred and twenty five pounds be the full of her legacy.

Item: I give and bequeath to my daughter ELIZABETH MORRIS widow the sum of one hundred and twenty five pounds to be paid within six months after my decease.

Item: I give my brother THOMAS COOPER the sum of five pounds.

ITEM: I give to my four daughters MARGARET MANTLE widow, MARY WHITE wife of JAMES WHITE of St. Nicholas, ANN BROWNING wife of EDWARD BROWNING and ELIZABETH MORRIS widow, all my household goods, plate, rings, linnen and all other furniture to be divided equally between them share and share alike.
Except the copper with the brewing vessells belonging to the same which I give to my son THOMAS COOPER.

Item: I give to my said son THOMAS COOPER all my Real Estate except the two tenements given to my daughter MANTLE with all my personal estate except the furniture of my house as above mentioned to him, his heirs forever.
Furthermore I charge all my lands with the payment of the above said legacies and lastly I appoint my son THOMAS COOPER sole executor of this my last Will and Testament.

In Witness whereof I the said JOHN COOPER have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and seal ye 29th Day of August in the year of our Lord 1766.
Signed JOHN COOPER sealed and declared the last Will and Testament of the said JOHN COOPER in the presence of us who have set our hands as witness of the same.
